Justin Bieber's day in court over a drag-racing incident in Miami Beach was pushed back, a court official said Thursday, as the teen idol used Twitter to declare he's refocusing on his music.

Bieber was to stand trial March 3 after pleading not guilty to misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence, resisting arrest and driving with an expired license in connection with the January 23 incident.

But a spokeswoman for Miami-Dade County court said that date has been cancelled, as Judge William Altfield considers a motion from Bieber's lawyers to block the release of jailhouse video from the night of his arrest.

Altfield is to resume considering the motion on March 4, at which time Florida prosecutors and Bieber's defense team are to declare whether they are ready to go to trial.

A fresh trial date will meanwhile be set "at a future hearing," the spokeswoman said.

On Twitter, where @justinbieber is the second most followed account after pop singer Katy Perry, the baby-faced Canadian -- who turns 20 on March 1 -- told fans he's getting back into his music.

"Dance rehearsal. Guitar practice. Workouts. Voice strengthening. Studio writing sessions. Always working to get better. Work hard. Be great," he tweeted late Wednesday.

He followed up early Thursday: "Out here working hard. Tired. Never stop. Love this music and the craft."

Bieber is separately charged in Toronto with assaulting a limousine driver. He also remains under investigation in Los Angeles for allegedly throwing eggs at a neighbor's house.

Gossip website TMZ.com reported this week that Bieber is currently in Atlanta, Georgia, renting for three months a futuristic mansion from record producer Dallas Austin while working on a hip hop album.
