President Michel Suleiman is determined to revive the national dialogue at the end of March, local newspapers reported on Tuesday.

According to An Nahar newspaper, Suleiman will call the political arch foes for a national dialogue session after he returns from Kuwait, which will be hosting the Arab summit on March 24 and 25.

The daily said that the president will base his decision over the ongoing political consensus in the country.

Al-Joumhouria newspaper reported that the all-party talks will address the defense strategy.

The newspaper pointed out that all parties are expected to participate in the dialogue session.

The last dialogue session was held on September 20.

In August, Speaker Nabih Berri suggested holding a five-day dialogue retreat to discuss pending issues in the country.

good luck mr president but how could there be a national dialogue while one side is armed to the teeth and threatens the other sides whenever it feels like it?

Hmmm ... M14 won, yes. Did Hezbollah let them rule ? NO !

In the last 2 victories, Hezbollah (because of its weapons) has lead Lebanon to war with Israel. Has turned its weapons inside the country against Lebanese.

M8 blocked the entire political process for 18 months with your Berri locking parliament down ? You basically STOLE the majority's right to rule.

And now Hezbollah is engaging in war in Syria against the MAJORITY's will !

So yes, Hezbollah and their weapons have HIJACKED the country, the majority, our prosperity, our freedom, our economy. And they can do and will do nothing to make things better !

@Roar : "it's how they won (the elections) that bothers most" ?

Let me remind you that the entire electoral process/law was decided by all parties so you cannot complain about this point.

And about "buying" votes, please... you know very well that M8 has poured as much money into this as M14 and has even played dirtier games threatening their own "people" into voting for them. Fake electoral lists and more ...

FT : i don't see how laptops and food for party representatives is any indication of cheating or buying votes! Again, if you want to point fingers, have a good look in the mirror first because had there been no cheating at all during the last elections, M8 would not have gotten so many seats to begin with !
