'Free Sunnis Brigade': Hizbullah behind Security Plan, Baalbek to be Army Cemetery

إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربية W460

The so-called Free Sunnis of Baalbek Brigade noted Thursday that “Hizbullah and Iran” are behind the security plan that the army is poised to implement in the Bekaa city, vowing to turn Baalbek into “a graveyard for the 'Crusader army' and Hizbullah.”

“Neither you nor Hizbullah are capable of removing the revolutionary pulse from our hearts, even if you try to implement the Iranian scheme under the pretext of 'the security plan in Baalbek',” the shadowy group said in a post on its Twitter account, addressing what it called “the non-Lebanese army.”

“We swear to God … that we will turn Baalbek's land into a graveyard for the 'Crusader army' and Hizbullah,” the Brigade pledged.

The group warned the army against “recklessness and defiance,” saying it has discovered that the security plan has “malicious goals.”

“It is a security crackdown against the Sunni Ummah (nation) because it is targeted against the areas of Sunni influence in Lebanon,” it added, alleging that the plan -- which was devised by the Higher Defense Council and approved by cabinet -- is aimed at “reining in the Sunni community in Lebanon.”

The mysterious group had claimed that it is an affiliate of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant extremist group, but the ISIL has denied that.

On March 16, the Brigade engaged in a war of words with the al-Nusra Front in Lebanon, which is believed to be a local franchise of the Syria-based, Qaida-linked al-Nusra Front.

The dispute erupted after both groups claimed responsibility on Twitter for the deadly suicide bombing that rocked the Bekaa town of al-Nabi Othman.

On Saturday, the Free Sunnis of Baalbek Brigade claimed responsibility for a suicide attack that killed three army troops in the outskirts of the Bekaa border town of Arsal.

The security plan was launched in the northern city of Tripoli on Tuesday and it is expected to move to tense areas in the Bekaa and Beirut in the coming days.

why are these cockroaches given a voice in the first place?
they're just nuisances, nobodies, who are threatening our Lebanese Army. we dont care what they think or have to say. Go LAF, exterminate them, nobody will ask.

Missing peace 03 April 2014, 18:01

never has lebanon be so targeted since hezbis went in syria to "protect" lebanon!!! LOL find the mistake! ROFL

Default-user-icon teaching international politics (Guest) 03 April 2014, 18:27

They would have been targeting lebanon anyway, like what happened in 58 or in 75. Sunnits loyalty was never with the lebanese state but with the others sunnits of the region.
This not a sectarian comment but the result of the historical facts that occurred in the region.

Missing ArabDemocrat.com 07 April 2014, 03:05

With all due respect, much of the Sunni community realized that their support of Arab and Palestinian causes at the expense of Lebanon was a mistake. I know senior members of the Lebanese National Movement who state this. I guess, it is the turn of the Shia community to commit the same sin - supporting the regime of Iran and Syria at the expense of Lebanon.

Funny how these "Sunni extremists" started appearing in Lebanon when we kicked Bashar out.

This is the result of demanding freedom and sovereignty ! This is the price Bashar is making Lebanon pay and this is the excuse for Hezbollah to hold onto their weapons.

This is a psychological war for the ghanam to believe we need Hezbollah more than ever. For the ghanam to let go of their freedoms and their future. For them to let go of any hopes for the state of lebanon to exist and ask Hezbollah to take over the country !

Thumb FlameCatcher 04 April 2014, 00:09

No, but Bashar has a history of forming, arming, funding and manipulating terrorist groups around the region which happen to be Sunnis mainly.

Thumb Loubnani 03 April 2014, 18:44

I really don't know what to say about this. The fact that something like the Free Sunnis Brigade even exists is unbelievable. How can you comment to on something like this when you are dealing with people who call the LAF crusader's army. Where are these people from. They must not have any brain cells to analyse anything beyond their sectarian hatred. That goes for everyone using God or their religion to create death and destruction. May they all perish in the bowels of hell.
God bless the LAF.

Missing peace 03 April 2014, 18:46

like all extremists they are fanatics therefore stupid and dangerous...

You will regret ever laying a hand on the Lebanese Army, filthy FSA-Al Qaeda cannibal jihadist terrorists.

first time that the Pasdaran are accused to be crusaders... Interesting turn of events...

Thumb Bandoul 03 April 2014, 19:30

@Free Sunnis Brigade, please leave God out of your revolutionary heart because God doesn't take sides and he does not condone murder and thuggery. Who are you to threaten the Army you low-life extremist relic of the stone age? May the Army bury you where you stand and erase any remnant of your existence which is a shameful stain on Lebanese society. Your are nothing more than blood thirsty ignorant uneducated low information pond scum and you will be eliminated as such. God bless the LAF and keep it in one piece to confront you and the evil you breed in this country.

Thumb Loubnani 03 April 2014, 20:13

Exactly Bandoul yet for some reason someone have the audacity to thumb you down. Go figure ha! The problem is not the Brigade but the people who are happy to see them rise...

Thumb Bandoul 03 April 2014, 21:49

@Loubnani, I do not give a hoot who thumbs me up or down...I am neither M8 nor M14. I tell it the way I see it. When I get attacked by both, I know I have it right because both parties are wrong for the country, granted I agree, one far less than the other. Many posters do not realize and accept that there is a rapprochement between the US and Iran which translates into HA will be around and in charge for a very long time. They forget that when Assad aligned with USA he was allowed to do whatever he wants in Lebanon. Now Iran is cooperating with the USA and that means it gets to do whatever it wants in Lebanon. Sad, shameful but true.

Sunni Umma vs. Welayat Elfaqih.
Over a decade ago, SHN declared that the Christians in Lebanon are remnants of the Crusaders. Now we have the those idiots calling our LAF the Crusader army.
I always claimed that HA and those idiots are two faces of the same coin.
May they both disappear like melting snow so Lebanon can rise and shine.

Why we need all this at the first place....why we do not get a division of 4 states like a compass and each state will build her own border and own law...Example east and west of Beirut will contain educated, fun , smart , open minded people ....skiing , swimming , studying....the north and south all the rabbis ...is easier...so when the terrorist wants to attack he will be targeting different state and the rest live in peace...
