An Internal Security Forces unit raided on Wednesday a depot in Abi Samra neighborhood in the northern city of Tripoli and seized a large arms cache, the National News Agency reported.

ISF commander in Tripoli General Bassam al-Ayoubi announced that the depot contained rocket-propelled grenades, Energa-type rockets, various types of grenades.

The depot, located in an apartment on al-Hawouth Street in Abi Samra, also contained two Kalashnikov rifles and their ammunition, added an ISF statement later on Wednesday.

The apartment is owned by A.N., also known as Marwan, who was arrested by the ISF Intelligence Bureau on May 12, it said.

Later on Wednesday, the army announced that a number of suspects, who were wanted for their involvement in the recent fighting the city, turned themselves in to the Intelligence Directorate.

They were identified as Mohammed Jamal al-Nahili, Zakaria Mohammed Jomaa, and Ahmed Taha al-Hajjar.

And in another statement, the military institution announced that Bilal Nasser al-Akkari, Ibrahim Ahmed al-Obeid, Hassan Qassem Seif, Omar Abdul Karim Daher, Khaled Ali Shaaban, and Sayed Mohsen al-Doueihy have turned themselves in

The statement said that all these fugitives have arrest warrants against them for their involvement in the Tripoli clashes.

On Monday, the ISF Intelligence Bureau raided a warehouse belonging to A.N., in the al-Soweiqa al-Mahatra neighborhood and confiscated a number of weapons.

Last month, the army deployed heavily in Tripoli and started implementing a major security plan devised by the government to end violence in the city.

Tripoli witnessed around 20 rounds of deadly gunbattles in recent years between the rival neighborhoods of Bab al-Tabbaneh and Jabal Mohsen.

The security plan has resulted in the arrest of dozens of gunmen and fugitives in Tripoli and the Bekaa but a lot of wanted men have managed to escape, while others remain at large.

Last week, a number of leaders of armed fighters in Tripoli turned themselves over to the military intelligence.

Failing to prove it ? When you crew is behind the bombing of the mosque in Tripoli ? When Bashar's spys were caught ? When you help the Eids escape ?

You will find so many articles pointing the Tripoli "strife" to Assad and Hezbollah only Aounies will hide their heads in the ground.

It's a proven fact Assad's forces are behind the bombings and that Hezbollah provides weapons to anti-sunni factions in Tripoli !

You sink to new lows everyday trying to defend the devil !

candle, it's obvious you are a salafi, i realized that now. Even worse than Cedre. Look around you, salafis are being exterminated for a reason. Takfiris will not prevail.

Thumb Mystic 14 May 2014, 16:00

ISF taking their own weapons back from the salafis is no surprise, you have to give back what you lend.

Thumb Mystic 14 May 2014, 16:36

Candle, you are proving yourself pathetic once again, seems like you know nothing about The Resistance, and i'm sure you don't live in Lebanon as you've claimed before. Fact on the ground is, you people made a war on Syria, and you've lost all major battles so far, last one in Homs. The Syrian Army left Lebanon peacefully, so I can't see any of your points candlesalafi.
Go ahead, tell me everything you know. It will only take 10 seconds.

Thumb FlameCatcher 14 May 2014, 16:42

@Mystic : Who is "my people" ?

The only one involved in Syria's war are HEZBOLLAH.

I ended my war on Syria when I kicked them out of Lebanon. And you traitors fought to bring them back ! You murdered all those responsible for kicking syria out.

Yalla, go jerk off to the illusion that I'm a salafi if this is what turns you on.

I'm very sorry and sad for you...

And to be clear Hezbollah is not a "Resistance". It's the "Islamic Resistance in Lebanon". Not even "Lebanese Islamic Resistance". So don't talk to me about being Lebanese or Salafi or whatever.

You know nothing about Lebanon when you accept this country being called Iran's frontline !

The only thing you bring to Lebanon is SHAME, WAR and INSECURITY. Now die !

Thumb Mystic 14 May 2014, 17:40

I know how you takfiris debste, you are now contradicting yourself, first you want me to die, now you want to debate me with no blood. You are a funny creature.

Thumb FlameCatcher 14 May 2014, 18:11

1st of all, takfiris don't debate. Just like Hezbollah terrorists, they are incapable of words and only fight with guns.

And yes, I hope that all brainwashed idiots on earth die because the human race needs better than wars, death and destructions if it is to survive the next century.

You want to talk ? Drop your weapons and show me you're capable of dialogue!

Missing peace 15 May 2014, 11:17

it is all you got? very weak and childish remark, ultrastupid...

Thumb Mystic 15 May 2014, 15:34

you are a hypocrite piss that is his fact.
