Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblat congratulated on Monday all officials, clergymen, and citizens on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

On this note, he saluted the families of resistance fighters whose sons were martyred in the July 2006 war.

He also saluted the Palestinian families whose sons were killed during Israel’s ongoing assaults on the Gaza Strip.

The MP made his position during his weekly editorial in the PSP-affiliated al-Anbaa magazine.

Jumblat also saluted the Lebanese and Palestinian families in need and those who have been displaced by the clashes between the Fatah al-Islam militant group and the Lebanese army at Nahr al-Bared in 2007, “especially considering that the aid funds that were dedicated to rebuilding the camp have been directed elsewhere.”

“We salute the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon who have not yet been given the fundamental human and civil rights that are required for them to live in dignity, all because of some Lebanese officials who believe that they are above this matter,” added the PSP leader.

On the Arab Spring, he said: “We extend our condolences to the families of martyrs who were looking forward to a better life based on freedom, dignity, and democracy.”

“We also salute the families of missing persons hoping that the fate of their sons would be revealed,” he added.

“We salute the families of all political prisoners in a hope that they would be immediately unconditionally released on the occasion of this holiday,” Jumblat stated.

Ya Walid,

-Why don't you salute the families of the Martyrs of the Cedar Revolution?
-Why don't you salute the families of the Army who were slaughtered by the Syrian Army after the desertion of Michel Aoun?
-Why don't you salute thefamilies who still have prisoners in the Syrian Jails?
-Why don't you salute the victims of the civilians of July war who had nothing to do with it?
-Why don't you salute the victims of May 7, including the Druze families who were slaughtered by Hezbollah??

...

I hope he doesn't mean to salute the 4 murderers, who deserve to be impaled on a pole, and their corpses left to rot in the sun. This would only be applying in kind middle ages practises to middle ages thugs! Joumblatt has pledged his brains right hemisphere to M14 and the left hemisphere to M 8 ! This is what he thinks are clever tactics. I hope HE will still be able to figure out who he really is, cause his followers are totally confused by now and have given up any attempt to understand.

All these salutations are real Bullshit. Lebanon needs people with real balls. Lebanon needs politicians who build not destroy, look forward instead of backward, establish a real country based on merit and quality not family businesses with Aoun Jumblat, Jumayel and the rest of the gang sucking its soul and spirit and eating all its resources.

Lebanon needs a selfless person like Jubran Tweini who gave his life for a cause he believed in not like ather people who lick the assess of the strong (Hizbullah) like Jumblat.

Enough is enough of salutations. Lebanon is in Shambles and here he goes Jumblat imparting all these stupid and meaningless salutations. 30 years and war has taught Jumblat nothing. He only cares about himself and his immediate family.

Well said "The Patriot".....!!!! I am sick of this idiot...... he reminds me of hassan Nassrallah a day after May 7 events when he said" Our Martyrs and their victims"....... He referred to his thugs as "Martyrs" and to the innocent civilians they killed as "Victims".....

If all you guys in Lebanon are so disapproving of your government, than why don't you get up and protest!!!!If the Syrian people can bring down the powerful thugs in syria than why can't the lebanese bring down these selfless losers in Lebanon???Answer.....WE CAN!!!!So get off your butts and stop complaining and as we together brought about the cedar revolution than we can overthrow all these bands of thieves.Lebanon needs action not words. So if you really care about your son's and daughter's future than act now and if you don't than shut up and stop complaining!!!!
