Iranian Foreign Minister for Arab and Foreign Affairs Hussein Amir Abdul Lahyan is scheduled to arrive in Beirut on Thursday for talks with various officials, reported As Safir newspaper on Thursday.

It said that his talks will focus on regional affairs, most notably the Israeli campaign against the Gaza Strip.

A telephone call between Foreign Minister Jebran Bassil and his Iranian counterpart Mohammed Javad Zarif preceded the trip, added the daily.

At least 700 people have been killed, mostly civilians, in the Israeli campaign against Gaza that started on July 17.

In Lebanon to discuss Gaza!!! Who does he think he's kidding. Who exactly in Lebanon will waste their time talking to him about Gaza. If he is so interested in the Palestinians I'm sure that he can set up an airlift to take all the Palestinians in Lebanon to their new housdes in Iran (I must be dreaming)
