France on Saturday said flags on every public building would fly at half-mast for three days from Monday to mourn an Air Algerie crash that killed 118 people on board including 54 French nationals.

The presidency said it was not an official national mourning period, which needs to be decided at cabinet meetings, but just a sign of mourning.
