Health Minister Wael Abu Faour issued an order on Thursday closing al-Sanawbra charity infirmary in Baabda and calling off its license after pharmacy inspections found expired medical products.

Furthermore, the inspectors found medical products for chronic diseases stamped with names of patients. The products which are usually given to patients for free are being traded commercially at the said clinic.

Abu Faour referred the file to the General Prosecution and ordered further investigation in the case.

Moreover, the minister warned the Notre Dame du Liban Hospital in Jounieh

after receiving information from the Lebanese Red Cross that the hospital refused to admit a patient despite the fact that she had a bed reserved.

Abu Faour stressed that the measures against the hospital will be decisive if violations against the hospital's contract with the health ministry were reported later.
