Gunmen Abduct Hujeiri Family Member in Arsal, Flee to Outskirts

Armed men kidnapped on Saturday Lebanese national Ahmed al-Hujeiri and dragged him to the outskirts of the northeastern border town of Arsal.

Hujeiri, who is also known as Ahmed Hadiya, hails from the Bekaa town.

The state-run National News Agency reported the the fate of Hujeiri remains unknown.

A security source told Agence France Presse later on that gunmen accused Hujeiri of “violating their policies.”

The sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told AFP that Hujeiri is also “accused of being an agent for Hizbullah.

A local official told the news agency that armed men in two vehicles abducted him “while he was walking on the outskirts of the town.”

Meanwhile, media reports said that the army intelligence freed at dawn Marwan al-Hujeiri after a four-day kidnap ordeal by gunmen from al-Masri family to press the release of soldier Ali Zeid al-Masri, who is held captive along with other soldiers and policemen by Islamist militants.

LBCI reported that he was handed over to his family.

On Thursday, Hassan Fleiti and Abdullah al-Breidi were also freed by al-Masri family as a “good will gesture.”

Al-Masri family hails from the Shiite Bekaa town of Brital, while the two men are from the Sunni dominated town of Arsal.

The sectarian abduction came in light of the beheading of a Shiite soldier by Islamist gunmen who overran Arsal earlier in August.

Fighters from ISIL or what is now known as the Islamic State along with militants from al-Qaida-linked al-Nusra Front engaged in deadly fighting with the Lebanese army and took with them hostages from the military and the Internal Security Forces as they withdrew to Syria.

The jihadists beheaded two of their captives and have threatened to kill more.

We hear of captives being freed all the time either after a ransom or after the goodwill gestures of HA, but we never hear of the abductors being captured and punished.

The cancer is called Hezbollah and their arms. We have always had fanatics writing on church walls in tripoli but HA arms created armed groups in tripoli, created interference with Israel in 2006 and again now in Syria hence keep destabilizing the whole country by car bombs and kidnappings. The Sunnis are playing injustice because the army raids the streets of tripoli looking for extremists and does not raid dahyeh or Baalbek to disarm HA. The root cause of destabilizing the political and security situation is HA arms and their allegiance to Assad first then Baabda.

blablabla you guys should take it easy on your HA obsessions, sounds like it's eating at you...
as for this abduction it clearly is arsal infighting and the abductors seem to share your obsession, accusing the hujairi of being a Hezbollah agent. what a bunch of goofs.

as for tripoli armed groups they never served the country, please dont compare them to Hezbollah's arms that liberated the south, defended the country against israeli attacks and continue to deter them until this day. not to mention containing the da3esh threat at the borders.

the armed groups in tripoli did nothing but shoot at their neighbors, and this goes for both jabal mohsen and bab el tabbaneh, both sides are useless and harmful for the town and the country.

southern,
HA liberated the south from Israel only to deal with it as HA occupied area (not an area that is under State rule) ..... so it is not true liberation, simply change of occupier.
HA is destabilizing the State and the rise of Sunni extremism is to related to HA arms starting with their alleged involvement with the HArriri assassination, then occupation of Beirut and now Their direct waging of war in Syria.
Disarm and let the State and LAF handle the country's affair. If you love Lebanon give your weapon to the LAF and merge some of HA fighters with LAF.

helicotper "so it is not true liberation, simply change of occupier"

lol it is with these kind of comments, that are so far off from reality as we lebanese see it, that you expose yourself as an outsider, probably an israel paid shill.

@_mowaten_
Replace pro Israel with pro HA and the story describes the likes of you, FT, Wolf etc. to a T.
You guys are here 24/7 pushing HA propaganda, and if you think by posting the URL it helps remove the fact that you guys are HA shills, well, think again. Those of us who are NOT shills see straight through this tactic.

yea right, when feeling cornered just mirror the accusation even if it doesnt make sense :)

i express my opinion and answer your propaganda lies. whereas you guys slander day in day out, make all sorts of accusations and finger pointing, and use the tactics described in the article, such as:

"Mostly just repetitive posting based on the dialogue pairs in the “Strat” section of the first binder. A lot of my job was de-railing and spamming threads that didn’t go our way, or making accusations of racism and anti-Semitism. Sometimes I had to simply lie and claim a poster said something or did something “in another thread”"
sounds familiar?

You don't see me posting here, or anywhere else, 24/7 like you do, do you? Only when those like you who appear to LIVE on this forum start claiming rubbish do I respond.
The amount of posts you and your likes commit to this forum speak volumes about who is and who is not a shill. ;-)
