Geagea: A Number of Strategic Errors Led Lebanon to Current Situation

إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربية W460

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea lamented on Monday the current situation in Lebanon, criticizing how some major files are being tackled.

He said via Twitter: “A number of strategic errors have led Lebanon to this current state.”

These errors include “the existence of a statelet outside of the authority of the state,” he added in reference to Hizbullah.

Geagea also blamed the fighting of some Lebanese groups in Syria alongside the country's regime for the poor situation in Lebanon.

The LF leader listed the failure to control the border in accordance to United Nations Security Council resolution 1701 and the manner in which the case of abducted soldiers and policemen as other issues that led to the deterioration of the situation in the country.

The army battled in August Islamist militants in the northeastern town of Arsal, which ended with the gunmen abducting a number of soldiers and policemen.

The captives are still being held by the militants, but three have since been executed.

The battle was seen as a repercussion of the spread of the Syrian conflict to Lebanon.

Some March 14 alliance officials have blamed Hizbullah's fighting in Syria for the spillover of the war to Lebanon.

He is himself an error...how can he discuss on error(s) ? Could anybody on nanaharnet help him see the truth ? i mean, of course, someone who is close enough to him ...like nanaharnet (-:

CFTC
Let me tell you really where the error is.
It is the 128 worthless MP's plus our ministers plus the Lebanese people.
1- 128MP's can't even meet and elect a president
2- the Government is dysfunctional at best
3- the Lebanese people are so polarized and so busy blaming each other on our problems instead of uniting and addressing together the crisis.
All 3 above is our recipe for falling into a dark abyss

I agree with you CFTC (Guest).

I loved the story about the interview. It sounded so genuine. Strange, they keep banning your account specially that you don't post much and when you do you always are reasonable and post comments of high value. Let me tell you why: it is because you have many accounts and you vote too much.

I was thinking the same thing mowaten. I hope people don't think we are the same poster..

Just like Aoun blamed Miqati and Sleiman for Arsal. Blame blame blame that's what everyone does including your idol. There's no accountability

i love how you dismiss them one by one with such authority. Something another flamethrower::!

Thumb nickjames 22 September 2014, 17:49

on lebaneseforces.org ahahahahahahaha he said it on an interview on OTV, his network!

Aoun: All the problems started and escalated in Arsal during the presence of a president.

Aoun: Arsal had been a supply base long before Hizbullah went to Syria and so was Wadi Khaled. Everyone knew that and we raised the alarm and our ministers talked with Miqati during cabinet sessions.

Aoun on Arsal's incidents: This is an accumulation. I asked Miqati several times not to dissociate himself from Arsal and Akkar, and what happened recently was a bigger infiltration into Arsal. Terrorism must be tackled the moment it starts, just like when you deal with a fire.

Thumb nickjames 22 September 2014, 17:51

Do you even know what your idol is saying anymore? You jump on Geagea when he blames others for Arsal, forgetting that Aoun directly blamed the prime minister and president. Nfekho

Thumb nickjames 22 September 2014, 18:20

Says the one who's on this site more than me. And my argument isn't lame. Flamer is making fun of Geagea for blaming others, when Aoun is doing the same exact thing. Then he comes up with this lame rebuttal that I got it from LF's website, when Aoun said this in an interview on his own network.

You go have an off day, get in touch with reality. Go throw the frisbee to your dog and have some Chupachups.

Thumb nickjames 22 September 2014, 18:41

Surely guys. Just keep worshipping Aoun.

Thumb LebaneseArmySupporter 22 September 2014, 18:18

Of course terrorist. ISIS have taken over a huge chunk of Iraq and Syria and caused hundreds of thousands to flee for their lives. Once they would have reached our borders they would have said to themselves "Lebanon should remain this free democratic haven and we shall not enter and destroy it" Damn Hezbollah for changing their minds. It's all their fault, of course. Not that I agree with them fighting in Syria but your logic is simply amazing regardless.

Honestly grow up fool
