New Head of Israel's Northern Command: Terror Groups Could Join Hizbullah

The incoming head of Israel's Northern Command, Maj.-Gen. Aviv Kochavi, has warned that terrorist groups could join Hizbullah and Iran in carrying out attacks on the Jewish State.

“The radical axis of Iran, Syria and Hizbullah, which operated for many years to harm the state of Israel, may be joined by the threat of terror organizations that possess an extremist ideology and can change their goals and begin targeting the state of Israel,” Kochavi said on Sunday.

“The Northern Command is at the center of the storm raging in the Middle East, and in the North we can see a concentration of the different processes that are affecting the region and the world,” he said as he accepted his position from outgoing chief Maj. Gen. Yair Golan.

“This area shows the struggle between religions, ethnicities and superpowers and it reflects a region that has become more disintegrated, less controlled, and more Islamist and violent,” Kochavi said.

He added: “All of these issues promise a continued instability in the area.”

Also over the weekend, Israel's Chief of Staff Benny Gantz said that the Gaza Strip is not the only front troubling Israel, and that the Jewish state's other enemies - such as Hizbullah - would do well to learn from the capabilities demonstrated by the Israeli army in the recent campaign.

Hizbullah leader Sayyed Hassan “Nasrallah sees that the Israeli society didn't break apart and was ready to pay the price (in Gaza), and that we know to do in Lebanon what we did in Gaza," he warned.

Israel are as delusional as this "anonymous" guy from Texas.

Israel and Syria did not exhange one single bullet in decades, despite all the rhetoric exchanged between them and this even in the absence of a peace treaty like the ones between it, Jordan and Egypt respectively. Now in South Lebanon, Israel is happier with Hezbollah and the LAF rather than having the different groupings of Palestinian led terrorists. After the 2006 aggression on Israel by HA, Hezbollah thereafter is extremely vigilant not to provoke the Zionists. The Zionists know it and will rather leave the status quo instead of chancing it with Palestinian groups, especially now. To prove my point, just how many times have the Palestinians tried to ignite the Southern Lebanon front only to see Hezbollah immediately denounce and reject any responsibility. So, what Israel is now doing is sheer posturing, something very close to BS.

Thumb Mystic 03 November 2014, 13:53

Phoenix, that is not true. Israel shot Syrian jets down, and targeted Hezbollah convoys going through Syria into Lebanon on several occassions. I have links also to prove this, both Western and Eastern newspapers.

I don't think you've been following up lately, there was a fierce firefight by the Shebba farms recently, it's the "Israelis" that knows they can't provoke the Resistance.

Thumb Mystic 03 November 2014, 13:56

"Israel" are getting very nervous about the Resistance new abilities. Combat experience in Syria, Israels aggression in Gaza, wasen't very convincing. They made a ceasefire with Gaza, after 64 Israeli soldiers died. They didn't even destroy the all the tunnels in Gaza.

Thumb -phoenix1 03 November 2014, 14:04

Mystic, sure you got me corrected somehow, I should have mentioned in my post that this was prior to the civil now raging in Syria, it was peace, total peace. I remember seeing an interview with Tsahal some years ago, all Israeli soldiers when asked which front they preferred most, all replied, the Golan Heights. Then Mystic, I wish Hezbollah or you my Shiite siblings NO harm or ill will, I just live by pure logic, Hezbollah has no new fighting capabilities, on the contrary, there is ample evidence that HA has been weakened by the Syrian conflict, and God forbid if war was to break out between Hezbollah and the Zionists, if Tsahal uses it real might, Hezbollah and Lebanon stand no chance. Please ya Mystic, let's not live under an illusion. Right now, the game behind the corridors has it that Israel is perfectly happy with how things are on its northern front with Lebanon, call it Hezbollah, its current keeper of the peace there.

http://www.naharnet.com/stories/en/147453 this is an Naharnet article phoenix, Israeli army commanders knows, Hezbollah are more capable than before, I know you don't like to do Resistance to westernized countries, but not all can do like Lebanese Forces and Kataeb movement, we are not going to become Judas, and bow down to western imperialism, most Lebanese people wont, I have full confidence in the army, and it's fight against terrorism within Lebanon. But against Israel and the takfiris now massing around from Syria, we do need the Resistance for this fight. Whether you like it or not, yes Hezbollah is the reason there isn't an ISIS flag flying over Baabda Palace today.

Thumb -phoenix1 03 November 2014, 15:41

Mystic, I am not in disagreement with you on this post of yours about the army and HA joining forces against DAESH, and as you rightly mentioned, there shall be NO DAESH flag on Baabda. Please read well, I did make clear mention of a gradual period for Hezbollah to hand over its weapons, again, sorry to have not mentioned, that is after Lebanon is cleared of all vermin such as Daesh, ISIS and this who support them. Then whereas you mentioned the LF and Kataeb as Judas, sorry Mystic, they were never Judas, and never will be, that part of our history is well covered, they had no choice but buy weapons from whoever sold them, please Mystic let's not victimize so blindly, LF and Kataeb are as solid a resistance as HA claims to be, and in any case, that's besides the nature of this thread.

Thumb Mystic 03 November 2014, 16:59

So according to you, LF and Kataeb are Resistance movements? What have they done besides massacres and US/Israeli agenda Phoenix. Not Resistance that is for sure.

Thumb -phoenix1 03 November 2014, 18:53

Mystic, LF, Kataeb and everyone else, including Hezbollah and Amal, everyone as long as they are or were militias made mistakes and many of them. At least I am not denying our mistakes, but if you want to go around and pretend Hezbollah is a role model, then you need to dig out a public that will believe you. Your latest genocides, yes, genocides are in Syria, and this was at a time when there were no Al Nusra or even Daesh. Thete is ample proof of your exactions there, and before that, here in Lebanon. I also hate to sound this way, Hezbollah behaved then as lackeys to the Syrians by kidnapping Christians and giving them over to the Syrian Moukhabarat, it's like a seal obliging his master for a trick in order to have a fish. At no time did LF or Kataeb do any of these cheap stuff.

Thumb Mystic 03 November 2014, 21:26

But times are changing, you know it I know it. USA doesn't care about Christians and neither do Saudi Arabia or Israel. The best choice is to stand by the Army and Hezbollah. Most christians knows this to be true Phoenix, you know it as well as I do.

The Resistance has sacrificed alot for the Christians in Syria, and for whole Lebanon, Hezbollah you seem to hate so much, are the only wall between the takfiris and all Lebanon.

Thumb Mystic 03 November 2014, 21:27

Phoenix, I thoughtyou knew better, either you are an aware liar, or not aware about the situation at all, and after some of our past conversations, I'm going to believe you are not unaware of the situation in Syria. No phoenix, Hezbollah has been in Syria since may 2013, Al Nusra has been in Syria since 2012, and ISIS also before Hezb intervened. All these accusations about the Resistance doing genocide against takfiris are probaly true, but against civilians no.

Do not forget that it was the Syrian government that saved the Christians during the Civil war, and Hezbollah also had clashes with the Syrian government during that war.

Thumb Mystic 03 November 2014, 21:29

Also Israel and Syria had clashes inside Lebanon, during the civil war. So to say they haven't shot at Israel since Golan, is also false.

Thumb -phoenix1 03 November 2014, 14:04

**Civil War now raging...**

Thumb -phoenix1 03 November 2014, 18:59

By the way my dear Mystic, if LF and Kataeb did not exist, then the US would have given it for almost free to Yasser Arafat and in fact to anyone who yelled, "Allahul Akbar, al mowt illal Nasarah". ma3leysh, we fought to preserve Lebanon and not a Lebanon for the Iranians or the Saudis. before you guys coined the word fakely as resistance, we were already dying for the country. you guys are still dying for anything and anyone NOT Lebanese, proof, what are you doing in Syria? Now the old song has dropped down the charts to position 1000.

Thumb -phoenix1 03 November 2014, 19:00

**Then the US would have given Lebanon...**

Thumb -phoenix1 03 November 2014, 14:09

Mystic, for your sake, for HA's, for all Lebanon, do what is right, leave the Lebanese Army become strong, allow the country to have a new president, let the parliament be renewed or replaced, then as soon as possible, gradually and within an agreed period of time, between HA, its political opponents and the government, to hand over your weapons to the state. Let your fighters either join the LAF or go back to civil life. There are hundreds of ways we can as Lebanese siblings solve the problem of HA and its arsenal, we can even create a National Guard comprising of all Lebanon's sects and social layers. At the end of the day, Hezbollah is not eternal, the day will come when it will collapse naturally. It is neither the solution nor the way, but the State is, it's constitutional institutions ARE and it all starts with its national Army.

Thumb al.finique 03 November 2014, 14:18

This is the reason why more and more people are asking of the Army to suspend the constitution and declare Marshall Law throughout the land. Let there be Military Rule, let the army arrest all of the politicians, all of them, be they M8, M14 and whatever other crooked thieves still remain on the lose and let us all live again under the same law, under the same justice. Let the army have no mercy on anyone who breaks the law, let the army rule with an iron fist and let it hit as hard as need be. 5 years of military rule, and Lebanon will regain its sovereignty and independence, from all the mafia crooks that have subjugated this country to all their unbelievable whims and caprices. let the army return to us the people our pride and dignity. Today the people of Lebanon want their peace and only the army will bring it, send the politicians to hell if need be, all of them.

Thumb -phoenix1 03 November 2014, 18:55

Bigjohn, repeatedly on TV, every time the media asked any Tsahal soldier where he or she liked the most to be posted, it was always, The Golan, but some will keep denying irrespective of facts. Now the South of Lebanon or Israel's northern border seems to feel in that same way.
