Theft Gang Member Caught Red-Handed in Beirut

The Lebanese army intelligence has arrested a member of a robbery gang after he was caught red-handed in Beirut, the state-run National News Agency reported on Friday.
NNA said that H. Daryan was apprehended as he was snatching Mais Doumit's purse in the Gemmayze area on Thursday night.
The army also seized his vehicle, the agency said. But his accomplice, whom it identified as F. Malas was able to escape despite being shot in the foot.
Malas forced a driver out of his car and sped away, NNA said.
The army and security forces are working on pursuing and arresting him, it added.
