Two terrorists have returned from fighting in Syria and entered the southern Palestinian refugee camp of Ain el-Hilweh, al-Akhbar newspaper reported on Monday.

The daily quoted security officials as saying that Mohammed al-Aarifi, who hails from the southern city of Sidon but for long lived in Ain el-Hilweh, had been training al-Nusra Front fighters in Syria.

He had also a role in luring fighters from Lebanon and Palestinian refugee camps into the Syrian region of Qalamun on the Lebanese border.

But after the area fell to Syrian troops, al-Aarifi headed to Aleppo and his first wife and children returned to Ain el-Hilweh.

His second wife and children did the same and he followed them along with another of his daughters to the camp, said the officials.

Mohammed al-Doukhi, who is known as Khardaq and is a Fatah al-Islam member, also returned to Ain el-Hilweh after fighting in Syria.

The security sources said the two terrorists entered the camp along with an al-Nusra Front official named Abou Mohammed al-Shishani.

The camp is long known for harboring terrorists and suspects wanted by the Lebanese authorities.

Under a long-standing agreement, Lebanese security forces do not enter the Palestinian camps.

Lebanese authorities have recently stated that Islamist fugitive Shadi al-Mawlawi also sought refuge in Ain el-Hilweh.

They said al-Mawlawi joined Salafist cleric Sheikh Ahmed al-Asir and Fadel Shaker.

Al-Asir denied, however, via twitter last week that he was at Ain el-Hilweh.

The Lebanese citizen will always wake up to bad news. Now electricity comes, now it goes, now water comes, now it goes, a terribly slow internet, bad roads, institutions that barely work, a parliament and cabinet that are here only to serve their own selfish purposes, ... I mean what is there here that will not annoy and upset the Lebanese citizen on a daily basis. But I do admit that these Palestinian camps that are on Lebanese soil are our worst and biggest annoyance, imagine they do as they please, they do whatever that takes their fancy. Terrorists enter and leave at will and will go on to kill and maim Lebanese lives, is that acceptable?! The only time when there will be peace is when these camps and all of them will be flattened, purified of all vermin and parasites and be returned to the Lebanese. All Palestinians MUST be driven out of Lebanon including Syrians. 10458 Km2 are barely enough for us Lebanese nowadays.
