Hizbullah has increased security measures in its stronghold of Dahieh in Beirut's southern suburbs in the wake of the blast in the Jabal Mohsen neighborhood in the northern city of Tripoli on January 10, reported the Kuwaiti daily al-Seyassah on Sunday.

It said that members of the party have set up checkpoints near those already manned by the army and security forces.

The members are searching vehicles and inspecting the identification papers of passengers given the recent security developments in Lebanon and fears of an attack by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant and the al-Qaida-affiliated al-Nusra Front, said the daily.

Two suicide bombers killed nine people and wounded 37 others in an attack on a cafe in the flashpoint Alawite neighborhood of Jabal Mohsen on January 10.

Security measures will be taken everywhere, aslong as the M14 keeps the army from being resupplied.

The Army can hardly protect themselves, they are getting killed by their numbers, so how do you think they can guarantee public safety? It is a hard job for the army to take care of everything.

They are not exactly full of resources themselves.

I don't blame them anymore; they are known thugs and terrorists. I blame the army and its command for allowing our soldiers to stand shoulder to shoulder with known criminals, terrorists, and mercenaries that usurp the state and its institutions.
