Mustaqbal and Hizbullah: We Reject Gunfire on All Occasions and Under Any Excuse

Al-Mustaqbal movement and Hizbullah stressed Tuesday during their fifth dialogue session their rejection of gunfire “on all occasions” and “under any excuse,” four days after a fiery speech by Hizbullah's secretary-general was marred by heavy celebratory gunfire that sparked panic among the citizens of Beirut and its suburbs.

“The conferees underlined their rejection of gunfire on all occasions, in all Lebanese regions and under any excuse,” said the two parties in a joint statement issued after the talks in Ain al-Tineh.

The dialogue session comes in the wake of a public dispute between the two parties that followed Israel's assassination of six Hizbullah fighters in Syria's Quneitra and a retaliation in the occupied Shebaa Farms that killed two Israeli troops and wounded seven.

Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah delivered a fiery anti-Israel speech after the operation, in which he declared that his group “no longer recognizes the rules of engagement” in the conflict with Israel, the thing that was criticized by al-Mustaqbal bloc and its chief MP Fouad Saniora as a “hasty stance that disregarded the Lebanese people's will.”

Several Mustaqbal officials also slammed the celebratory gunfire that marred Nasrallah's speech, describing it as a form of intimidation.

However, the two parties emphasized in their statement that discussions will continue over several points “frankly and responsibly,” lauding a plan that got underway to remove the flags and banners of the two parties from Beirut and several other regions.

Hizbullah and Mustaqbal also discussed “the preparations for continuing the security plan” that got underway in April 2014, according to the joint statement.

Earlier on Tuesday, Hizbullah's al-Manar television had reported that the “negative atmospheres will not affect dialogue or the results that can be reached.”

“The issue of Sayyed Nasrallah's speech will be discussed during the dialogue session and Mustaqbal's delegation will raise the issue while Hizbullah's delegation will have an answer for each point,” al-Manar said.

The mostaqbal hired takiris, are simply "freedom loving people" all of them going to Syria are merely there for humanitarian purposes, they do not behead people, and they are simply there to ptovide Al Nusra/da3esh milk & blankets. The 2008 clashes were just "unarmed civilians" massacring people in Halba and elsewhere due to their so called oppression, same reasons they went into Syria to commit the same crimes from 2011 to 2012, long before the resistance intervened.

Tex, true, only HA remains around as an armed militia/armed party. But the truth also comes from the fact that because Hezbollah refuses to disarm, almost all the citizens of Lebanon, all sides confounded have bought arms and a lot more. Masalan a Russian-made AK 47 with 2 clips was selling some 5 years ago for a miserly sum of approx $200. A Czech handgun would sell at about 500 to $700. Now an AK is ten times that sum as are the hand guns. People have bought grenades, RPGs and a lot more. The Lebanese usually fire into the air for God knows what, this past Christmas alone, I saw firing like I've never seen in my life.

This so-called hunting season alone, the Lebanese have gone wild on wildlife, despite that hunting is still banned, open any social media and you would have seen for yourselves to horrid and horrifying pictures these idiot hunters were posting, dead birds in their hundreds. And when the Lebanese aren't hunting, anything, any occasion is as good as ever to shoot into the air. To pin blame on Hezbollah alone whereas it pertains to this issue is most unfair, HA like everyone else is as guilty of extreme stupidity as ever. There's something about the Lebanese and guns, and it usually translates into sheer and undiluted stupidity, wou bass!!

To compare shooting in the air, with the mutilation that mostaqbal supporters committed in Halba & Syria. Then it is truly you who is the farce texasusa.

why divert the subject anonyme? you were saying "there no armed party except Hezbollah", and this made me laugh. can all beirut resident attest to that too? lol

Thumb _mowaten_ 04 February 2015, 15:56

LF is armed, PSP is armed, Amal is armed, Mustaqbal is armed, Islamists are armed, everybody is armed. If anything, the only side without arms is the FPM.

Phoenix: "because Hezbollah refuses to disarm, almost all the citizens of Lebanon, all sides confounded have bought arms and a lot more"

What a stretch of imagination Phoenix, now you want tie into the fact that the continuation of the resistance is the reason why citizens in lebanon are arming themselves much more than in the past. What happened, did you forget about the threat coming from syria. Is everything in your eyes related to HA not being dissarmed. Please. The truth of the matter is no one fears HA in Lebanon, no one citizen is affraid of going to a shia town in Lebanon.

Thumb _mowaten_ 04 February 2015, 16:54

okay dude, because they dont shoot in the air then it most certainly means they are not armed.. whatever.. bye anonyme.

Thumb _mowaten_ 04 February 2015, 17:26

oh so now you admit there are "armed M14 members"? that's a good start. as for them not firing in the air... well... lol again dude, you're such a joke. here's your civilized MP, not just some random member, taking care of "bumper-to-bumper traffic"

he was not armed, but he just happened to have an illegal kalashnikov in his car and opened fire in the air because the ISF would not take his instructions. now zahhet
