A man from the Jaafar clan wanted in the murder of a couple in the eastern Baalbek district died on Thursday after he was shot by the Lebanese army during his arrest, the military command and the state-run National News Agency said.

Ahmed Mohammed Salim Jaafar was injured on Wednesday night after the military ambushed him in an area between al-Yammouneh and Dar al-Wasaa.

He was driving a Grand Cherokee without license plates, said the army in a communique.

But Jaafar, who is wanted on several warrants including an attack on a military patrol in 2012, succumbed to his injuries hours later, it added.

A Syrian man, who was accompanying him at the time of his arrest, was also killed, NNA said.

According to the agency, Jaafar is also wanted in the November 15 murder of Sobhi and Nadimeh Fakhri in the town of Btedei.

The couple were killed by fugitives from the Jaafar clan who were fleeing army troops.

The gunmen entered the family's house with the intent of taking their vehicle but the tenants showed resistance, which prompted the armed men to shoot the couple and their son, who survived the attack.

G.K.

H.K.

Justice will prevail. Long live the Lebanese army.

At least our taxpayer's money going to the army is serving to make us live in justice. Not just to make them build country clubs for the officers.

I wonder how you are and how you are managing to post as you put the final touches to your resting place dear flamethrower.... RIP Shia Hero

He will no doubt be wrapped in the resistance' flag and buried as a martyr who fell defending Lebanon's sovereignty and independence.

Thumb _mowaten_ 26 February 2015, 16:46

why would he eagleyawn? jaafars have nothing in common with the resistance, except in your sectarian eyes.

Missing helicopter 26 February 2015, 18:23

NOT TRUE mowaten. Jaafars are controlling the waters that used to go to Christian land owners in my home town and are doing so with impunity under protection from HA (they have tanker trucks parked 34/7 filling water for resale and what is left is diverted by hoses to Shiite land. It is not the Sectarian mind mowaten, it is the Secterian nature of HA and its followers.

Thumb _mowaten_ 26 February 2015, 18:27

Yes yes, helicopter", your baseless allegations certainly "prove" the other baseless allegations! Bravo!

Thumb _mowaten_ 26 February 2015, 18:28

If you want your allegations to have any significance, then tell us where exactly this is happening, and how this "protection from HA" materializes.

Without at least this, all you're doing is pursuing your regular slander campaign.

This article defines the divide in Lebanese politics perfectly.

M8 followers back & praise the LAF no matter who is the culprit.

m14 followers (as above) praised the LAF today, yet not so long ago these same followers were insulting the LAF for every imaginable corrupt behavior conceivable.

Yes folks that's the difference between M8 & M14.

M8ers love & support the LAF unconditionally..vs ..M14ers who trash or praise the LAF depending on the article of the day.

No wonder m14 is crumbling from within!

Roar, yor post post is either a lie, misinformed or twisting of the truth. If you follow my posts (all of them) you would see I praised the LAF in every operation and if I ever criticized them it would be for not being forceful against HA. Mystik on the other hand (your solid friend in M8) in the last article he proclaimed that if the LAF try to disarm HA the Shiites in the LAF will split the army). In another post couple of month ago Mystic chanted "labayka ya Khameni". Flamethrower recently admitted the HA arms is to make sure that the Christians do not get their share of power as per taef (according to f.t., it is not fair for 25% of the population to have 50% representation and the post of President and Army Commander). I can go on citing posts over posts that would refute what you said above. but I think this is enough.

Thumb the_roar 26 February 2015, 19:30

No I don;t follow your posts & I have no reason to doubt your claims of never insulting the LAF.
But I do follow FT's posts as he is by far the most informed poster Naharnet has ever had or would dream of having..so hence why I read his posts if I get the chance.
Never Have I seen FT insult or demean the LAF.
Mystic says things like labayka ya khameni to piss people off who try to insult him by calling him khomeni lover etc.
I cannot speak on every ones behalf, but one must be able to read between the lines. But in essence, not once have I seen an m8er demean or insult the LAF in my time here.

On the other hand your m14er friends have openly insulted & demeaned the LAF many many many times...some even accused it of being a corrupt organization working on behalf & taking orders from HA.
Some even put up links to videos showing how the LAF treated assir followers etc...no chopper its you who distorts..M14 spit on the LAF when it doesn;t suit their agenda.
Y

Oh & if you reply chopper, I am not avoiding you, but I'm out man.

Off for the weekend..some water rafting & trout fishing up the Nymboiba
Have a good weekend folks & try to get out..Naharnet will still be here on monday. so will M14 & m8

roro, please bring @wolf out of retirement. He is better at representing you than those 90 new aliases you made in the last 2 days. Please!

Thumb the_roar 26 February 2015, 12:07

my post was too honest for m14ers to refute, so they send in the trash to distort.

no problem m14ers trash away....m14 is crumbling & desperate just as its followers on this forum are.

Good riddance and to his party that was protecting him.

Good job LAF, no one who breaks the law should be forgiven, be he or she from M8 or M14, let the law rule over everyone, simple.

Thumb zahle1 26 February 2015, 14:34

These Beqqa Shiite clans have some of the worst people in our country. These meqdad, jaafer, zoaiter...are bad people.

Thumb -phoenix1 26 February 2015, 14:58

You're right Zahle and it is them mainly that are tainting the good name of the Lebanese Shiites who in general are decent and hard-working people. Now let the army deal with these thugs and let Sayed Hassan stop giving them cover.

Thumb _mowaten_ 26 February 2015, 16:44

toujours, toujours! sauf quand c'est pas eux. petit sectaire de mes deux.

Thumb _mowaten_ 26 February 2015, 16:45

the hezb has nothing to do with those clans. only sectarian lowlifes like you amalgamate them because of their religion.

Missing peace 26 February 2015, 18:17

sure, when someone is caught red handed by the army you M8ers straight away always say they have nothing to do with you... LOL how funny hypocrits you are....

Thumb _mowaten_ 26 February 2015, 18:23

Been telling you for years that they have nothing to do with each other, and showed it to you in a dozen ways, but you keep insisting out of absolutely irrational sectarian bias that every crime committed by a shia must incriminate all shias and therefore hezbollah. You're a just stinky sectarian hater, and lowlifes like you are the root cause of most of this country's problems.

Thumb EagleDawn 26 February 2015, 18:27

the mouthpiece said it all.... so a christian, druze, or sunni clan go and open shop for drugs, weapons, car theft in hezbollah areas and the hizb will not interfer because it is not a police force and because it is not sectarian.

Thumb _mowaten_ 26 February 2015, 19:50

why are you asking eagleyawn? thinking of expanding your business out of haifa?

Thumb zahle1 26 February 2015, 21:55

Mowaten, I understand the desire to want to separate from the clans, however, I now live in Metro Detroit among their families, and they all are in close with HA. They all are supporters.

Missing peace 26 February 2015, 22:29

sure mooowaten... all the M8ers caught by the army you always then deny they were ever M8ers, never any relation whatsoever with M8...
pityful brainless boy...

AND no sectarianism in my post, just you poor hater want to see sectarianism in others as you are a pure product of sectarianism you believe everyone must be like you...

so you d better revise your post and learn how to read before getting so mad and angry, frustrated kid....
where in my post did i relate to his sect other than in your SICK mind? idiot.
