Nusra Hands over Body of Bazzal 4 Months after Execution

Al-Nusra Front militants on Thursday handed over the body of Lebanese policeman Ali al-Bazzal, who was executed late last year, to Muslim scholars, the state-run National News Agency reported.

NNA said the body will be delivered to his family after DNA tests confirm his identity.

Al-Nusra Front said in December that it had shot dead the policeman to avenge the arrest of Islamic militants' wives and children.

“Executing one of the prisoners of war in our custody, Ali al-BAzzal is the (minimal) response to filthy Lebanese army actions,” it said in a statement on twitter.

Al-Bazzal was among Lebanese soldiers and policemen abducted by jihadists from al-Nusra Front and the Islamic State group in August when they overran the northeastern border town of Arsal.

Three other servicemen have also been executed.

Meanwhile, General Security chief Maj. Gen. Abbas Ibrahim said Thursday that the negotiations with al-Nusra Front have made more progress than the talks with the IS to secure the release of the hostages.

Can't wait to see the animals endure the (maximal) response to their filthy actions.

mowaten, is that your final and best version of delusions?

Had you abided by Suleiman disassociation policy then nothing would have happened to bazzal.

Al shabab, d3esh, HA, and other fanatics including both natanyaho and assad regimes have dug their own holes, the point here is rest in peace for this man, but him and others have paid the price for extremism. Defending lebanon towns and people is not the militia job. When the state lags defending its people then speak up.

This one and many other victims from the Lebanese Shia are the results of the madness of the leadership of hizbollah. What's the main cause of killing this man? Does the leadership understands that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction? It is very shameful and sad to see our citizens and especially those in Lebanese state uniform die like this. The leadership of hizbollah need to be in roumyeh jail cells similar to what sisi in Egypt did.

This has nothing to do with shia, or hezbollah, stop trying to twist it into a sectarian connotation and trying to blame hezbollah for fighting them, as if they were nice and fuzzy before.
Daeshits and nusrats have executed people from all sects, Christians, Sunnis, Druzes, Yazidis... And they did so in every place they reached, most which never had a Hezbollah presence (mosul, kobbane, maaloula, sinjar...)
To the contrary, Hezbollah's actions minimized the negative impact on Lebanon, and everyone knows it by now, except the propagandists paid to defame hezbollah.

sure if you say so paid delusional paid mouthpiece. Nothing you say will change the facts. You and your likes were mocking the ultimatums given by the Syrian rebels to stop your massacres in Syria and to withdraw. Go back, rewind and stop revising history. These Nusra etc kept calling for your hizb to withdraw from syria and issued threat after threat before they finally took the game to your doorsteps. Isn't lying "haram" in your religion? here is what your other screen name said months ago
"-Flamethrower
the 24 hour 'ultimatum' sent last week to hezb by the FSA chief of staff, dakhlkon wein sar? LOL"

You've been posting that same lame hateful sectarian rhetoric for months now... haven't you realized nobody cares or falls for your cheap propaganda?

disgusting subhuman wahabi pigs giving a corpse to their holy men!

Although I prefer HA to stay out of. Syria, I do not believe this is the cause of his death. They would have came and accused them of being allies and supporters regardless. They want to kill all of us that are different. I don't know why that is so hard to understand. Refuse to forgive The Syrian regime for what they did when they occupied us. Don't forgive HA for following Assad during our occupation. However I know many may disagree, but daesh is still way worse and a bigger threat to our existence. I still only support LAF.

They already did in Bazilieh killing two innocent civilians from a neighboring village.

lebanon07 any of those convicted? And before you launch into your usual idiotic "you are salafi takfiri terrorist" rant check Cardinal Al-Rahi's sermon today on the subject of the Roumieh prisoners. Besides these salafist terrorist prisoners are in the Roumieh jail only because they are unlucky not to have Hassan Nassrala sent Hezballah MP Sahili to bail them put like he did with Omar Bakri.

No ISIS or Al Qaida in Lebanon? God bless the LAF and ISF in their battle against these terrorists!

No ISIS or Al Qaida in Lebanon.. until Assad and Hezballah pushed them into the Lebanese border from Yabroud, Rankus, Flitah, Al-Zabadani and outskirts starting late in 2013 during the battle of Qalamoun. Good try though mate.

God bless the LAF and ISF in their battle against these terrorists and Hassin Nasrallah for not putting red lines around them like he did for the terrorists in Nahrn el Bared.

These dirty cowards kidnapping an unsuspecting Lebanese officer and killing him in cold blood?! I blame the Lebanese state for negotiating with the terrorists, I blame the state for believing that one can talk to terrorists. Long ago, the state should have given the families of our kidnapped servicemen 30 terrorist sobs in our jails. The day Al Nusra assassinated Ali, was the very same day his family should have also killed 30 of these evil trash, it is then that every terrorist will think 10 times next time before they touch the shoe of one Lebanese serviceman. Rest in peace soldier.
