Traffic accidents are still causing a lot of casualties on Lebanese roads, leaving three people dead and nine others injured on Friday alone.

“Hussein Sobhi Zoaiter, 14, was killed in a traffic accident in the Bekaa town of al-Knaisseh,” state-run National News Agency reported.

Also in the Bekaa, a collision between a Renault Rapid car and a pickup truck resulted in the death of 31-year-old Ali Mahdi Ayyoub at the intersection of the town of Sarein on the Riyaq-Baalbek road.

Ayyoub hails from the Bekaa town of Ali al-Nahri, according to NNA.

Meanwhile, the Internal Security Forces-affiliated Traffic Management Center announced the death of one person in the collision of a vehicle into the median barrier on the Damour-Sidon highway south of Beirut.

Also on Friday, Civil Defense crews managed to evacuate six wounded people from a car and a passenger bus after they collided on the Dahr al-Baydar road.

Rescue crews used cutting tools to allow the evacuation of passengers from the damaged vehicles.

Earlier on Friday, two people were injured when a vehicle flipped over on the Shekka-Kfar Hazir road in the North.

Another person was wounded when a truck skidded off the Emile Lahoud Highway and collided into a cement wall.

The state of our roads in Lebanon are not that bad really, it's the state of our brainless drivers that drive like serious idiots that are causing so much loss of precious lives. Add that to the corrupt system that dishes out licences to even more stupid people. What a shame truly!!

The worst scarying danger when I visit Lebanon is indeed stupid crazy driving attitudes, far more lethal and dangerous than da3esh or 7izbullah.
