A 39-year-old Lebanese national was killed at dawn in Melbourne, Australia after unknown assailants opened fire at him.

The state-run National News Agency reported on Sunday that Khaled Yehya Abou Hasna was the victim.

He hails from the northern district of Akkar, NNA said.

Australian media said that Abou Hasna was shot dead in the driveway of his mother's home in Lewin Court in Altona Meadows.

Abou Hasna is a father of six, he was shot multiple times and died at the scene.

Police believe it was a targeted attack and described it as an execution-style killing.

Homicide Detective Sergeant Sol Solomon said there were no eyewitnesses to the shooting, but neighbors had heard screeching tires as the getaway car sped away.

No one has yet been charged in relation to the killing and the killer is still on the run.

"At this stage, we have no suspects we've identified and the investigation will continue on throughout the day," he said.

I think that FT personally shows fascist tendencies but would agree, we can't typify this type of tragedy.

Might be 2 years to late but here goes he may have been no loss to you but he was a great loss to his grieving family, his two older children and his wife who has been left to raise 4 little girls all on her own, 4 little girls who will never know there father because a coward chose to gun him down. His mother has never recovered from this loss. Going to assume that you did not know Khaled so who are you to pass judgement on him. Why don't you try having a little bit of compassion for his family.
