The Lebanese authorities have reportedly received information about a plot to assassinate top officials in the southern city of Sidon, including MP Bahia Hariri.

Al-Liwaa daily quoted sources as saying on Monday that the plot against the officials aims to create strife in the country.

The sources said Hariri, her son Ahmed Hariri, who is the secretary general of al-Mustaqbal Movement,pro-Hizbullah Sheikh Maher Hammoud and the head of the Resistance Brigades, Mohammed al-Dirani, are on the list of targets.

Bahia Hariri is the sister of slain former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.

A similar report has emerged that Saudi Ambassador Ali Awad Asiri has been the target of an assassination bid that was foiled by Lebanese security agencies.

Real balanced list;) But the real threats and actual assassinations happen only to M14 leaders.

Yes they were, back then their allies (the Syrian army) left, M14 won the elections and controlled the Government so assassinations helped them regain their power by eliminating their strongest opponents. They know the game well and they know when to play the assassination card.
