Police arrested on Friday the Lebanese ringleader of a gang which kidnapped a six-year-old child in the Jbeil district town of Amchit last week, reports said.

The man, S.Aa., was apprehended by the Internal Security Forces Intelligence Branch in the town of Dora near Beirut, which lies around 40 kilometers away from Amchit, they said.

Ricardo Jaara was reunited with his family on Monday two days after he was abducted from his home.

Reports have said that the family paid a $50,000 ransom in return for his release.

His father reportedly handed the money to a man riding a motorcycle in the northern border area of Wadi Khaled.

LBCI later reported that the Intelligence Bureau was able to regain the ransom after searching two houses in Wadi Khaled.

No news could be any better or sweeter. Now please, when all the salamaleks are done conclusively, could you please hang this man and in public? If you find hanging too hard, then do a firing squad, or the guillotine, anything, but unless the state hits with an iron fist, these filthy and ungrateful guests of ours will continue to cause serious trouble for us. Look at Jordan, or Turkey, they too have refugees, yet would they dare lift a finger on a citizen? And why? because they know the extent of the law. It is high time Lebanese law gets seriously tough, in fact on all law breakers, in this particular odious crime, it is totally intolerable, totally, so get rid of this vermin and let this serve as a clear example to the rest.
