A 20-year-old university student, who was kidnapped earlier in the week, was on Saturday released in the eastern Bekaa Valley after ransom was paid, the state-run National News Agency reported.

Marc al-Hajj Moussa was abducted by armed men at dawn Thursday on a road in the Metn town of Mazraat Yashouh while on his way home in Bikfaya.

His car, a Toyota Land Cruiser, was later found in the area of Majdel Tarshish.

Moussa, who is a student at Balamand University, was handed over to the army intelligence and then his father by members of the Ismail and Jaafar families in the eastern town of Brital after he paid them a ransom, MTV said.

According to NNA, the ransom amounted to 350,000 dollars.

What happens if he skips bail, would they send Jack Walsh to bring him back with Alonzo Mosely of the FBI on their trail as hijinks ensue?

How can anyone release a kidnapped victim on bail? Surely there's something wrong with this article.

Wrong use of the english language. They must have an apprentice on duty.

criminals, thugs, outlaws that's what hezbollah and its followers are.

so these thugs got $350,000 as a reward for their criminal act....! Some of my acquaintances know the family.... a good hard working family... used to work in Saudi Arabia for years. They came back to Lebanon and built a house. The rumors are some of Mark's fellow students tipped the kidnappers that he came from a well to do family.... I hope it is not true.

Dear HZBLH, can you please route your "road to Jerusalem" through Brital as well? thank you.

Thumb lebanon_first 08 August 2015, 20:48

This is a good reason to block roads. Nothing else matters this much.

Berri has to intervene. He certainly knows the shia thug who conducted the operation. He should do get him arrested.
