Algerians starred in midweek UEFA Champions League play-offs with Sofiane Feghouli, Islam Slimani and El Arbi Hillel Soudani scoring significant goals.

Winger Feghouli struck four minutes from time to seal a 3-1 win for Valencia over 2015 quarter-finalists Monaco in Spain.

And Soudani was another late scorer with his goal giving Sporting Lisbon a 2-1 first-leg advantage over CSKA Moscow in Portugal.

SOFIANE FEGHOULI (Valencia)

Tormented Nigerian Elderson Echiejile with a series of raids down the right flank before giving Valencia some breathing space by slamming a loose ball into the net from just inside the box.

ISLAM SLIMANI (Sporting Lisbon)

An exchange of passes with Andre Carrillo set up the striker to score the 82nd-minute match-winner soon after his vain appeal for a penalty when the ball struck the arm of an opponent.

EL-ARBI HILLEL SOUDANI (Dinamo Zagreb)

Unmissable in bright pink boots, the attack partner of Slimani for Algeria scored a tap-in equalizer away to Albanians Skenderbeu and Croatian outfit Dinamo grabbed a stoppage-time 2-1 victory.

SEYDOU DOUMBIA (CSKA Moscow)

The Ivory Coast striker had a penalty saved before leveling five minutes from half-time when he darted on to a pass, rounded the goalkeeper and slid the ball into an empty net.
