Report: Salam Refuses to Take Part in the Collapse of the State

Prime Minister Tammam Salam said on Sunday that he refuses to be part of the “paralysis” governing the country and driving it to a total “collapse,” the Pan Arab al-Hayat daily said.

“The PM’s call for a cabinet convention on Thursday came out of his duty that he should not participate in the complete paralysis controlling the country and leading it to a breakdown,” visitors to Salam quoted him as saying.

They added that despite the fact that the PM has tried to arrange favorable atmospheres that allow the ministers of the Free Patriotic Movement, Jebran Bassil and Elias Bou Saad, to address the matter positively and engage in the session but that however did not yield until yesterday.

“Some might consider resigning as a collapse, but I believe that the inability to save the country is the most dangerous,” said the Prime Minister.

In the absence of a head of state, the cabinet had agreed on a decision-making mechanism by consensus among the ministers. But ministers representing different parties including the FPM began to put sticks in the wheels of the government, leading it to paralysis.

Bro you don't get it. Every single one of them is corrupt. They all need to step down; we deserve much better than them. We're entitled to that and the protests show it.

Salam, You and your cronies are becoming the Problem. Without a President, your government is non-binding, should resign and force election of Presdient. By your unwillingness to resign, you are hoping to become president, a ntion which has a been a wish by Sunni muslims for decades, part of Islamization of the Middle East as desigend by Saudi Arabia.

Anything is better than democracy with a straight up vote, Even rolling around in garbage and snipers shooting innocent people at night. This is what the Saudis oil money pays for.
