Customs agents at Rafik Hariri International Airport discovered on Saturday an attempt to smuggle drugs to Lebanon from Brazil, reported the National News Agency.

It said that the drugs were seized from a Bulgarian traveler arriving from Brazil via Addis Ababa

The traveler used an innovative way of concealing the weapons whereby he soaked clothes he was carrying in his luggage in possibly a liquid form of cocaine.

The clothes, packed in two luggages, weighed around 40 kilograms with an estimated customs cost of LL200 million.

Agents at the airport said that the confiscated goods would cost much more in the market.

The suspect has since been referred to the concerned authorities for investigation.
