One Killed, 7 Wounded in Dispute over Power Generators in Tripoli

An armed dispute erupted on Monday between the al-Murad and al-Sabaqji families in the northern city of Tripoli over power generators, reported Voice of Lebanon radio (93.3).

It said that a Syrian national was accidentally killed in the armed clash that took place in al-Barranieh and al-Jisrain areas, said al-Jadeed television.

He was identified as Ahmed Abdul Rahman Mashhour.

Seven people people were wounded in the unrest, which saw the tossing of a hand grenade, added VDL.

The army has since intervened to defuse the situation.
