Hariri Meets Sarkozy, Discusses STL and Regional Developments

إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربية W460

Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri held talks on Thursday with French President Nicolas Sarkozy at the Elysee Palace in Paris.

The two officials discussed the latest developments, especially those related to the Special Tribunal for Lebanon and regional affairs.

Hariri had recently said on Sunday via Twitter that “Justice will prevail, (the) tribunal has begun its work and soon we will see the criminals behind bars.”

Addressing the developments in Syria, he tweeted on November 16 that only Israel, Iran, and Hizbullah along with the current Lebanese government are defending the Syrian regime, reiterating his call on Syrian President Bashar Assad to leave power.

Whatever Israel does they won't be happy. The pro Assad people blame us for helping to take him down and the anti Assad people blame us for defending him. In truth, our government does the right thing by staying the hell out of it. It's not our conflict and has nothing to do with us.

Sergio, asaf is an "israeli" and he is talking about his government, not ours. He is a delusional zionazi who actually believes israel has no filthy hand to do with all modern day wars, whether in europe, middle east, africa, usa, asia, or latin america. He thinks they are staying out of it. What a joke.

asaf, don't deny it, israel is happy Assad has power!

Assad showed israel what will happen if he leaves by allowing palestinians and others to the Golan Heights boarder...HOW obvious was his message to israel? 100 % if israel wanted him gone, the Americans would have jumped at it.

new guy. Assad sent the Palestinians promising them money. They didn't do it out of patriotic reasons. Assad doesn't attack us himself, he has HA to do it for him. It might (or might not) increase out problems on the Syrian border, but it will lower our problems on the Lebanese border. In any case, I don't want my country to meddle with other countries internal affairs. Just look what happened when we did it in Lebanon. It caused only harm to both of our countries.

Guys, what the heck are you doing back and forth with ASSaf? Can't you see that you are just as dumb as ASSaf is? Learn to be smart like Gabby and focus on ASSad not ASSaf. According to the certified genius Gabby, ASSad's regime should have fallen 2 months ago!!! But Gabby, the ever nice and gentle person, gave ASSad a grace period of two more Saturdays.
