Rifi Urges Arabs to 'Confront Hizbullah and Iran Hegemony over Lebanon'
Resigned Justice Minister Ashraf Rifi on Wednesday urged the Arab states to confront what he called the “hegemony” of Hizbullah and Iran over Lebanon.
“What's happening in Beirut requires a coordinated Arab effort and an Arab confrontation of Iran's attempt to seize control of Arab capitals,” Rifi said in an interview on Sky News Arabia television.
“Hizbullah's involvement in the Syrian quagmire is a historic crime for which it will pay the price along with Iran,” the minister warned.
“Hizbullah's resistance weapons have been turned against our people in Syria... and Hizbullah is currently paying a hefty price in Aleppo's battle,” Rifi added.
Turning to the Lebanese situations, the minister accused Hizbullah of being “a tool in Iran's hand” and of “obstructing the presidential vote in Lebanon.”
“We are partners in Lebanon and we won't bestow legitimacy on illegitimate arms,” he said.
He noted, however, that “the majority of the Lebanese people are against Hizbullah and Iran's scheme.”
“Leniency with Hizbullah is not acceptable anymore and our victory in the municipal polls reflected rejection of its scheme,” Rifi said.
He also described the national dialogue sessions as a “ploy.”
“We will not be false witnesses on Hizbullah's hegemony at the dialogue table,” Rifi added.
Well said Mr. Rifi.

bless anyone person, entity, organization, brigade or country that inflicts extreme pain and unbearable suffering, death, torture, and destruction upon the iranian sectarian terrorist militia and its members, sponsors, supporters or followers wherever they may be.
I am sure @Mystic is upset because hezballah has already acknowledged 18 deaths so far out of the 60+ they have lost in the last 3 days alone.
anyway, this what his ashraf nass are good for:

@1anonymetexasusa; I think it is about time KSA should. I think people are fed up with this kind of intimidation. mystic and mowaten are just examples of what is out in the real world. The only reason they are able to speak like this is because nassrallah enabled them through weapons and thuggery.
Mystic
Are you writing what you are writing so that Mr. Rifi would read it? I doubt that as he does not care about people of your kind. You are writing to the people on the forum trying to intimidate them. If you did not have weapons as hezbollah, you and the mowatens of this forum would dare write such aggressive comments against your fellow citizens? That is why the majority of the Lebanese cannot and will not accept your terror militia anymore. If we are to move forward and live as one nation, you people have to lay down your arms and act as civilized people with equal rights and responsibilities. I doubt that you would.....
Firearms were used, people were terrorized, the army intervened and 'resolved' the problem. The interesting thing is NOBODY was arrested. Do you know why? because the army knows it will get a call from Berri or hajj Safa of Hezbollah to release them immediately.
@1texas
In Baalbek, the zoaiters, the meqdads and others fight with RPGs and mortars in Al Sharaweniyeh neighborhood. Nobody gets arrested. Can you imagine what would the army do if the same happens in any other area in Lebanon other than in hezbullah areas? This country is beyond a joke and you have the puppets here tell us about the resistance. My family was forced out of their home in the South because my father and 2 older brothers work for the emir of qatar's office. My father has been working in qatar for more than 25 years and he is treated with respect in qatar. In our own country, we had to leave our home and move to Beirut because we had been threatened and cursed.
@anony: I totally agree with you. When Christian lives were at risk in Syria and Iraq we all felt it and were furious. Nassrallah stands up and waves his finger and talks about his most important battle in Aleppo. Aleppo is the heart of sunni syria. If I were a sunni i would feel a lot of anger and i am not sure i would be able to control it. This is an ugly religious war. It seems the shia are avenging the death of their hussain....... in 2016.
there was no massacre. your SSNP terrorists were terrorizing the civilians and thought they would do what your hizb was doing in beirut so they were quickly put down.
Get rid of Hariri. He is useless as a politician, businessman, and leader. Every decision he has made leading M14 starting from the Doha Accord and ending with the nomination of Franjieh has proved disastrous for Lebanon.
Ashraf Rifi you are certainly ashraf al nass. Respect!
Harri Lost my respect a long time ago... Rifi now thats a change... listing and following his actions ... he's got my vote for PM
Rifi is as bad as the side he's talking about. He mentions Iran but fails to mention Saudi Arabia and Gulf. They're both a problem and he solves nothing in my opinion.
As a Christian supporter of the Lebanese Forces, but not the nomination of Aoun, let me list the faults of KSA in Lebanon for you:
KSA provided billions of dollars to rebuild Lebanon after every Israeli war mainly caused by Iran and Hezbollah.
KSA invests billions of dollars in Lebanese real estate, banking, and businesses including hotels and commercial enterprise.
KSA was instrumental in ending the Lebanese civil war.
KSA employs thousands of Lebanese of all sects who represent the number one source of transfers into the Lebanese banking system.
KSA supports the Lebanese government i,e the people and not a particular sect.
I can list maybe another hundred examples. I don't care about what KSA does outside Lebanon. I care what KSA does inside Lebanon.
U r probably right peace, but for the time being iran has the upper hand and putting a mess in our country while saudi arabia not so much... Don't u think so?...
I have a problem with him emphasizing the faults of Iran and Hizb while conveniently forgetting the faults of Saudi and Gulf. That's hypocrisy.
Lebanon will always be a country of tolerance despite some Daesh supporters like Rifi who by his foolish statements, although uselss like him, may cause nausea.
btw, Israel and Daesh are the threats.... now call your Arabs to solve them.
Southern can u tell us how hezbollah collaborated with the secular lebanese patriotic resistance in south lebanon please?..
Cutie;
I have some good news, finally. Mr. Golani from Jaish Al Fateh messaged me on whatsapp and informed me that both the artillery and aviation academies are being renovated as we speak and will be ready for the fashion show and photo shoot next week. He brought in Italian interior decorators specially for my event Cutie. He also said they are painting the Cement factory in Ramousseh for additional seating and fashion runways. I am so excited Cutie that I will finally visit Aleppo and eat some delicious sweets.
@terrorist; they are worse than assad. don't forget madaya village where people are starving. Starvation is nassrallah's strategy.
Talking about it is alreaddy a good thing tx.. There was a time (in 2005, not so long ago) the army was searching the trucks coming from syria for hezbos weappon, since most of our politician seems to have forgotten about the issue..
This say rifi doesnot put me at ease..
Anyway we will see unless israel decides to blow him up...
I have a strong feeling that Israel is planning to assassinate Riffi because he is criticizing Hezbollah and Iran just like it recently did when it blew up Blom Bank because the bank was imposing financial sanctions on Hezbollah.
do you consider nassrallah an iranian collaborator when he says his money, weapons, food, and salary comes from iran?
watch how all those people are ISIS fighters and were bombed by the mighty russians
