Turkey Design Week Invites Beirut Design Week

Turkey Design Week, initiated by the Turkish Ministry of Economy and Turkish Exporters Assembly has invited Beirut Design Week, to participate in their upcoming design exhibition taking place on October 20 - 23 at İstanbul Lütfi Kırdar Congress and Exhibition Hall.

Turkey Design Week will bring Turkish and Lebanese design and industry sectors together in order to facilitate more business opportunities between both countries . During the event, local and international exhibitions, design competitions, design award ceremonies, fashion shows, conferences, panel discussions, and workshops will take place.

A selection of eighteen Lebanese design studios, institutions, and collectives showcasing some of the best emerging product design, fashion design and communication design has been made to be part of the Beirut Design Week exhibition.

These include: The Lebanese American University Fashion School, Beirut Makers, Damj Design, Atelier Khaled el Mays, The Study, TheOtherDada, Joe Fish, The Farm, Made for Brands, Patchil Design Studio, Dima Boulad, Ghassan Salameh Design Studio, Elie Riachi, Diane Ferjane, Saccal Design House, Boshies, Creations by Wael Farran, Architecture et Mecanismes, and Zeidan Creations.

Moreover, on the 21st of October a panel discussion on the latest developments in the Lebanese design scene will be hosted by Doreen Toutikian (BDW), Ahmad Khouja (Damj), Jason Steel (LAU Fashion school), and Dima Boulad.

Beirut Design Week will be the only exhibitor representing the Middle east and North Africa; other exhibitors include Sbodio 32 Raw and Good 50x70 from Italy, Pınar&Viola for IKEA, Sara Garanty/Colour Emotions, Fashion Stories and Design for Dignity by Swedish Institute from Sweden, Patrick Rampelofo Designs from Austria, and Elektrocouture from Germany.
