FPM Leadership 'Pleased' with Nasrallah's Speech
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةProminent sources in the Free Patriotic Movement expressed “delight” with the speech delivered by Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah on Sunday where he reiterated support for the election of the FPM's founder MP Michel Aoun for the post of president, al-Akhbar daily reported on Monday.
“Nasrallah's talk is a big slap in the face for all those who doubted his support for Aoun, and anyone who tried to trigger a dispute between us and Hizbullah,” the FPM sources told the daily.
“The Lebanese have to understand, including our own supporters, that we all have to stop doubting each other. In this country there are people who still commit to their vows. Integrity and honesty are what made us reach where we are today,” added the sources.
Nasrallah said on Sunday: “Our commitment to General Michel Aoun's nomination is final. The Loyalty to Resistance bloc will attend the session and all the members will vote for General Aoun.”
As for the efforts exerted by Hizbullah with regard to talks with Speaker Nabih Berri (who said that he will vote against Aoun), the FPM sources praised Nasrallah when he assured that “no one is trying to strike bilateral or sectarian agreements.” They stressed that the FPM supports Nasrallah's calls to address the concerns of some in that regard.
Nasrallah emphasized in his speech “no one in Lebanon is thinking of establishing a bilateral form of power-sharing on a political, sectarian or two-party level.” He was referring to the AMAL's concerns regarding the FPM-Mustaqbal agreements that preceded Hariri's endorsement of Aoun.
Berri's aides have accused Aoun and Hariri of striking a “bilateral” agreement that would marginalize Shiites in power, allegations that Aoun and his movement have denied.
Aoun was tipped to become president after Hariri formally endorsed his nomination on Thursday.
Lebanon has been without a president since the term of Michel Suleiman ended in May 2014 and Hizbullah, Aoun's Change and Reform bloc and some of their allies have been boycotting the parliament's electoral sessions, stripping them of the needed quorum.
Hariri had launched an initiative in late 2015 to nominate Hizbullah's ally and Marada Movement chief MP Suleiman Franjieh for the presidency but his proposal was met with reservations from the country's main Christian parties as well as Hizbullah.
The supporters of Aoun's presidential bid have argued that he is more eligible than Franjieh to become president due to the size of his parliamentary bloc and his bigger influence in the Christian community.
General Aoun will make Lebanon as good as Iran when it comes to economy, jobs, and progress. That is why we the shias support him and want him president.
can you be any stupider and more sectarian? aoun's support is wide and goes across all segments of the population
"General Aoun will make Lebanon as good as Iran when it comes to economy, jobs, and progress. That is why we the shias support him and want him president."

Bold and Factual as ever
@mowaten
What can one say, another E-X-C-E-L-L-E-N-T comment. I particularly enjoyed the part where you said "aoun's support is wide and goes across all segments of the population.."
Thank you for making our lives so much better.
Still laughing since January 2015.
Thank You again .mowaten.
thank you .mowaten.for exposing him! I enjoy reading your clever secular (non sectarian ) comments everyday.
.mowaten. I'm not a big poster here but I have been using this site for over 41 years and recently I have been liking your posts, you're the only one informing these deluded ignorants. :)
more than half the Christians do not support aoun.

The Sunnis do not support aoun; the majority of Druze do not support aoun; at least half the shias do not support aoun ( Berri and Co.)
anyway; if aoun was not pro Iran, would you be defending him now? lol
terrorist, your wahabi salafi religious is not heretic?
You are real da3ish and I'm happy to see the Resistance destroy your kind in Syria.
only terrorist could in the same breath speak like a takfiri da3eshit, and condemn iran's for being too conservative. which is it ya clown? do you want to be a fundamentalist calling others kuffars, or pretend to be open-minded and liberal?
i dont call myself anything but atheist, and you and you troll friends have been choking on that for years.
you however are a total fake. every comment you make reeks of salafi/wahhabi takfirism and fundamentalism and yet you pretend to be westernized & liberal only when it suits your anti-iran anti-resistance propaganda
fake megahabib:
If Aoun can achieve only few elements that Iran enjoys, then it would be great :
self-sufficient in energy, Iran is a nuclear country.
very respectable position in industrial progress, Iran produces and launches own satellite.
to have own air defence weapons to counter the Israeli continous agression, Iran is self-sufficient.
i know you don't care about these "little things", but most Lebanese do.
btw: where is the news in Naharnet about Litani River Protection!? surely @terrorist and @hamble don't care since Israel does not benefit from its water anymore.
“Nasrallah's talk is a big slap in the face for all those who doubted his support for Aoun, and anyone who tried to trigger a dispute between us and Hizbullah,” the FPM sources told the daily.
That's for you anonymetexas lol

.mowaten.
Every day a new element confirms a deal was reached between the US/saudi and daesh to allow them to relocate from mosul to raqqa.
That's for the iranian troll, lol.
i've given several facts backing the claim of a deal, all you have to oppose that is random claims speculating about what "could" happen. not to mention you're off-topic here. pathetic.
congrats eagleyawn, you finally managed to impressed someone! too bad it was the forum idiot, but hey, that's still an achievement for you!
"i've given several facts backing the claim of a deal"
you only give propaganda fed to you by your iranian employers. Facts and You are an oxymoron.
"you finally managed to 'impressed' someone!"
pro-tip: look up words before using them, avoid revealing the idiot you are.
I have to give credit where it's due: terrorist, this was your most articulate and rational comment in years, congratulations.
I respect Mr. Mowaten because he is religiously independent and gives credit where it is due.
