Hizbullah Urges Militants' Surrender after Taking Over Major Nusra Strongholds

Hizbullah's leadership announced on Monday that its “operation” against al-Nusra Front terror group entrenched in the outskirts of Arsal was "about to end," as it “urged militants to surrender” after seizing control of the majority of the group's strongholds.

“The battle with al-Nusra Front is about to end. We urge the rest of the militants to drop their weapons and surrender and we will ensure their safety,” Hizbullah's leadership announced in a statement.

Hizbullah fighters have seized full control of the Wadi al-Kheil area, one of al-Nusra Front's strongholds, in the outskirts of the border town of Arsal, the National News Agency reported early on Monday.

They have also seized control of Wadi al-Maaysrah and Qalaat al-Hoson hill, NNA added.

Other media outlets said the party has also seized control of Nusra posts in Wadi Maarouf, Wadi Kahil, Wadi al-Dam, Wadi Zaarour and Wadi al-Daqayiq.

Earlier NNA reported that Hizbullah waged a wide offensive at a number of fronts in Wadi al-Kheil and Hosn al-Kherbeh to the east of Arsal. Meanwhile the infantry were advancing in Wadi al-Kheil, a move that was paralleled with heavy clashes with al-Nusra terrorists.

On Sunday Hizbullah pressed on with its assault seizing more strategic points from the control of the Fateh al-Sham jihadist group, which was known as al-Nusra Front before announcing a severing of ties with al-Qaida.

Hizbullah's military media unit said the group's fighters seized control Sunday of the entire outskirts of Syria's Flita from Nusra's hands and were in control of around 70% of Arsal's outskirts by Sunday afternoon.

Hizbullah had launched its long-awaited assault in the border region on Friday and has lost around 19 fighters in the ongoing battle.

It is the Maronites of Aoun who gave full support to Ebola. Without them Ebola would have been nothing.

bless anyone person, entity, organization, brigade or country that inflicts extreme pain and unbearable suffering, death, torture, and destruction upon the iranian sectarian terrorist militia and its members, sponsors, supporters or followers wherever they may be.

The areas liberated by the Resistance will be turned over to the Lebanese Army, when this operation is complete.

Thumb Mystic 24 July 2017, 17:02

Yes roar, but President Aoun also is one of the reasons for this success.
He is not a senile man, he just adapted to the situation, he realized that if he did not let go of his old hatred towards Syria, then Lebanon would be conquered by the salafi wahabis.
Sometimes you just need to let go of grudges and think of the common good, especially as a leader of a nation.

Thumb the_roar 24 July 2017, 17:09

Sorry Mystic....i will never make a deal with the devil so I can gain

geagea is a murderer & a traitor ...Aoun allied with him for the seat

HA shut up because they don;t go back on their word 7 they promised to back Aoun to the end... but i believe HA are not that happy with the alliance of a murderer & traitor with Aoun.

Well I take a man for his word & Aoun promised to bring justice to murderers, thieves etc if elected.
I prefer Daesh in lebanon than have a convicted murderer like Geagea as a partner in the state.

Thumb the_roar 24 July 2017, 17:17

A true Christian does not make deals with murderers of children for personal gain'

Thumb Mystic 24 July 2017, 17:24

I agree with you on Geagea.
You know, before President Aoun came to power, all of March 14 really believed that Assad would be ousted within a short time.
Everyone bet on it, Hariri, Jumblat, Gemayel and Geagea.

Only when they realized that their moderate salafi rebels were a lost cause, then Geagea and Hariri quickly formed the government with the rest of us.

This is politics, and they are dirty politics always.
It's what keeps Lebanon going, by keeping all people from all sects in a shared power government.

Thumb Mystic 24 July 2017, 17:26

Anyone that screams secterianism should first and foremost blame the Lebanese system.

Because our whole constitution is secterian, yet you blame people of being secterian?
This is how it is, live with it alongside everyone else.

Thumb the_roar 24 July 2017, 17:29

BTW Mystic, let be clear what I mean by I prefer Daesh In Lebanon than have Geagea in the running of the state.

It's preferable for a stranger to cut your children's throat than your own brother who you know already has & will if given the chance.

It's amazing how well Iran played such interesting parts, including the inception of ISIS yet providing them narcotics to kill Christians as well as Sunni civilians. AND at the same time their satisfying their blood revenge against the Sunni's in the name of Hussein. So after all their lies and toxic influence they got to satisfy their bloodlust AND kill off Christians at the same time, while of course using the rest that are still alive as pawns for their personal agendas. Add in the propaganda tools here who are incapable of independent thought and you have one of the biggest deceivers in history to date. Cry more with your zionist assumptions YET you're both in on it together ;). I wonder how it feels to live one giant lie, perhaps these takia trolls can tell the rest of us civilized folk :).
