France Will 'Strike' if Proven Syria Using Chemical Arms

W460

France will launch attacks if proof emerges that the Syrian regime has used banned chemical weapons against its civilians, President Emmanuel Macron said Tuesday.

"We will strike the place where these launches are made or where they are organized," Macron told the presidential press corps.

"But today our services have not established proof that proscribed chemical weapons have been used against civilian populations," he added.

Yet:

the UN published a much-anticipated UN report concluding that chemical weapons were used on a relatively large scale in the Ghouta area of Damascus on 21 August. At the time, the US, UK and France said the report vindicated their stance that the Syrian government was to blame

France's counter-pope, Napoleon IV, who is married to France's President Macron, has dispatched traffic officers to Lebanon to enforce traffic laws "so that we may all live in peace in a regime of law and respect." The officers, from the First Parachute Regiment of the Foreign Legion, will operate from special bases in Switzerland while their Lebanese accommodations are being prepared, according to Lebanon's Ecumenicalism Minister, Lt. Col. Al Rahi, who went to Geneva to greet the four officers, a sergeant and three corporals, during his recent ski holiday with the King of Saudi Arabia, who is a close personal friend from their Sandhurst days. (All skiing is being done by English surrogates for safety and supportiveness.)
