Hariri, Bassil Talk Govt. Formation in Paris Meeting
A meeting has been held in the French capital Paris between Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri and caretaker Foreign Minister and Free Patriotic Movement chief Jebran Bassil, media reports said.
LBCI television quoted FPM sources as saying that the meeting tackled the deadlocked cabinet formation process.
The main obstacles delaying the new government are reportedly the number of seats that should be allocated to the Lebanese Forces and whether or not MP Talal Arslan should be given a portfolio.
Hariri was tasked with forming the new government on May 24.
