Tenenti: Separate Meetings for Representatives of Lebanon, Israel in NY
UNIFIL spokesman Andrea Tenenti said in a statement the UN headquarters in New York has organized for “separate meetings” between the new UNIFIL head of mission Major General Stefano Del Col and permanent representatives of Lebanon and Israel to the UN, the National News Agency reported on Thursday.
The meetings were held “to hear their views on UN Security Council Resolution 1701 aimed at maintaining stability along the Blue Line,” it added.
The statement also said Del Col, has met with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and senior UN officials.

I can only presume that the Lebanese delegate refused to be in the same room as the Israeli. What a pity.
