Army Arrests Suspects in Hermel

Several suspects were arrested at dawn on Tuesday in the northern city of Hermel after engaging in gunbattles a few days ago, the National News Agency reported.
The Lebanese Army arrested three individuals in Hermel’s al-Marah neighborhood during security raids its carried out at dawn.
The suspects are said to have engaged in fierce gun battles in the area a few days ago.
Armed troops confiscated military rifles and ammunition in the possession of the suspects.
The army has also raided some homes in al-Shawagir neighborhood and arrested two suspects wanted on judicial charges.
The arrestees were taken to one of the barracks in the area for investigation. They will later referred to the judicial authority

تمكنت المديرية العامة لامن الدولة (مديرية النبطية الاقليمية) من تنفيذ سلسلة مهمات أمنية نتيجة الرصد والمتابعة للاخطار الامنية والاجتماعية التي تهدد المجتمع اللبناني واستطاعت توقيف 59 شخصًا بجرائم مختلفة ابرزها:
– توقيف اللبناني (أ. س) بجرم التواصل مع فتاة اردنية تحمل الجنسية الاميركية ومحاولته الدخول معها الى فلسطين دون إذن من السلطات اللبنانية.
– توقف 7 اشخاص بجرم تهريب اشخاص من سوريا الى لبنان وبالعكس لقاء مبالغ مالية. – توقيف 18 شخصًا بجرم تعاطي وترويج مخدرات.
– توقيف شخص بجرم حيازة وترويج عملة مزيفة وضبط عملة اميريكية مزيفة بحوزته.
– توقيف 11 شخصًا لوجود ملاحقات ومذكرات قضائية في حقهم بجرائم مختلفة.
– توقيف المدعو (ع. ز) بجرم سرقة سيارة وتعاطي وترويج مخدرات.
– توقيف المدعوين (ق. ر)، و(م. ر) بجرم سرقة.

Al-Marah, an ironically named neighborhood in Hermel. Marah is not allowed in Hermel. Al-Marah is 7aram and it goes against the whole culture of the resistance as it was decreed by Khomeini in 1982 and imposed since by force if need be in the regions under the control of the party his Lebanese mercs.
