Jumblat Slams 'Plots of Defiance Axis'

Progressive Socialist Party chief ex-MP Walid Jumblat on Sunday slammed what he called “the plots of the defiance axis,” in the wake of Saturday’s confrontation between ex-minister Wiam Wahhab’s supporters and security forces in Jahliyeh.

Taking to his favorite social media platform Twitter, Jumblat posted a picture of sheep and their shepherd with the caption “Away from civilization, the problems of politics, the theories of growth and the plots of the defiance axis.”

The so-called defiance axis refers to Syria, Iran, Hizbullah and their allies in Lebanon and the region.

A Wahhab supporter was killed Saturday as gunfire erupted during an attempt to arrest Wahhab by the Internal Security Forces Intelligence Branch.

Wahhab had been summoned by the Branch in connection with a lawsuit filed against him by a number of lawyers over insults he addressed to Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri and his slain father ex-PM Rafik Hariri.

The Chouf region, a stronghold of Jumblat, had on Friday witnessed a standoff between supporters of Wahhab and Jumblat after the ex-minister’s supporters took to the streets in armed convoys.

"The Chouf region, a stronghold of Jumblat, had on Friday witnessed a standoff between supporters of Wahhab and Jumblat after the ex-minister’s supporters took to the streets in armed convoys."

Wahhab should be jailed. Who is he to have armed convoys? I bet he is also 'resisting' Israel.

Geagea killed Frangiehs father, and Frangieh seems to have forgiven Geagea. So Jumblat that believes Assad allegedly killed his father, should have thought about the Druze survival and not his own personal vendetta.

Good Riddance

Jumblat has lost much popularity amongst the Druze since the Syrian war.
He did not support his sect even an ounce in that was.

All because of his hatred of Assad, he couldn't care less about Druze people being killed as long as Assad goes down.

When there is no government to apply the levers of power, other forces rush in as power abhor a vacuum. Unless the criminal class of Lebanon that passes as its political leadership can figure out how to divide up the government ministerial portfolios so as to equitably advance the profitability of each Siam through usurpation of the government, then they will revert to form and just use force of arms to steal what they can’t get through “ministerial discussions”.

Saudi Arabia is not the Arab world kid, you cannot refute the facts that Assad has become a very popular Arab leader, even the King of Jordan extended his hand to Assad after the Nassib border crossing reopened.
Things in Syria are getting normalized, and most Syrians lives in Assad Government areas, only 3 million lives in Idlib the salafi controlled area.

Then there are a few millions outside of Syria, that will have to return home one day, and they will have to accept the fact that Assad has won the ones that opposed him that is.

Jumblat on the other hand has lost alot of respect throughout the Druze communities, because of his lack of support for the Syrian Druze that got slaughtered in masses.
