Report: Hariri Holds Positive, Cordial Phone Talks with Bassil

W460

Free Patriotic Movement chief MP Jebran Bassil has received a phone call from Prime Minister Saad Hariri, following the latest war of words between their two parties, a media report said.

LBCI television quoted unnamed sources as saying that the talks tackled the “current affairs” and that the discussions were “positive and cordial.”

Tensions had surged between the FPM and Hariri's al-Mustaqbal Movement in recent days after Bassil threatened to topple the government if it does not address the issues of refugees, electricity and corruption in a swift manner, and after he lashed out at the Brussels conference on refugees.

Isn't this a joke. The PM and the FM have to talk to each other via the telephone. Has the government of Lebanon never heard of face to face talks?
