A Bangkok court ordered on Tuesday a Lebanese-Swedish Hizbullah suspect detained for 12 days for illegally possessing explosive materials.

Thai police charged Atris Hussein on Monday after he led them to a warehouse containing four tons of urea fertilizer and several gallons of liquid ammonium nitrate.

Police confiscated the material during a raid of the warehouse in Samut Sakhon, on the western outskirts of Bangkok.

Hussein told police that he and other accomplices had rented the depot a year ago, according to a security official.

His arrest was linked to U.S. and Israeli warnings last week of a possible terror threat in Bangkok.

Police said Hussein was storing the explosive materials in Bangkok before shipping them to another destination.

But Bangkok police commissioner Lt. Gen. Winai Thongson declined to say which country the suspect named as the destination because of national security concerns.
