Gemayel: Resistance that Doesn’t Contribute to Rise of State is Not Legitimate

Phalange Party leader Amin Gemayel stressed on Friday the need to confront terrorism and instead bolster openness, dialogue, and understanding.

He said during the launch of the International Union of the Centrist Democratic Parties: “A resistance that does not contribute to the construction of the state cannot be considered legitimate.”

He voiced his satisfaction with the Arab people’s revolt against dictatorship, hoping that they would succeed in achieving freedom and democracy.

Gemayel therefore unveiled a charter on the Arab revolts and subsequent regimes.

He stressed the importance of stability being reached after the success of the Arab revolts, hoping that the new regimes would respect the sovereignty of Arab nations and the demonstrators’ calls for democracy and freedom.

“Any side seeking to support any revolution in the world should ensure that they are capable of assisting protesters in overcoming oppression and discrimination,” he added.

“All peoples have the right to confront oppression without necessarily resorting to terrorism to reach their goal,” he continued.

On this note, Gemayel remarked: “No party operating under the excuse of resistance has the right to assume the role of the state in deciding the fate of the people.”

He slammed “all forms and sources of extremism”, saying that it has led to “individual and mass tragedies on the national and religious levels.”

“Fundamentalism must be confronted,” he stressed.

“Real democracy can be achieved through the separation of powers and regular rotation of power,” he stated.

The Hezz are a complete fraud and everyone is saying it to their face. The Hezz think they are strong, but they have never been weaker.

Cheikh Amin 3al Fashal, aka Fashikho Numero Uno, is talking about the days of his filthy brother, the number one Israeli collaborator, may he rot in hell next to Rafic Syria, aka Filthy Filth, the other collaborator with Lebanon's enemy, the Syrian occupation.

@ cookie monster, its time to go take your insuline shot like your master, the only reason Hezb is keeping the governement alive is because it got weaker with all whats happening to Assad. It cannot afford to lose the " legitimate " power they now have. And this time, the opposition wont be so good to them..

@Gora: You ain't Lebanese you moron because his brother was Taj Rassak and taught your kind of people a lesson on every battleground politically and military during the war. People that curse martyrs are not Lebanese and do not belong in a Country called Lebanon therefore your opinion means nothing.

I for one cannot blame HA for wanting to stay armed to the teeth. Since I cannot guarantee for them that israel will not want more land in the future and Lebanonn is the nicest + the weakest target. And who ever stopped israel from taking more land and kicking non-jewish residents from their west bank and Jerusalem homes? And who could guarantee to HA that israel will stop there.

Thumb arzz 28 January 2012, 09:32

shab, your hatred for ha only makes me sympathize more with them. And I am christian and not tayyar or anything else. So see you are indirectly supporting them.

Thumb shab 28 January 2012, 11:22

Arzz, I hate all enemies of Lebanon evenly. After May 08, the filthy militia degraded themselves to be the lowest of scum, Zionist mercenaries aka the enemy within.

@Habal, @arzz: Both of you are foreign agents (Iran and Syria), Is there a militia in Jordan? Is there a militia in Egypt? who are those two Countries living in peace with the zionists? if you are farm boys and cannot sleep without your weapons then play an effective role in reinforcing your ISF and Army, enlist in the Army to defend your land, is there a problem with that? or no your masters are in Iran and you will only take orders from them such as Summer 2006?

Thumb Bandoul 28 January 2012, 20:45

Arzz, you suffer from bi-polar disorder and "Arzz" is probably pseudo for Mowaten, Jabal and many others. I don't give a fuck what religion you are because haters like you, don't know God and don’t have the right claim to be Christian or Muslim. Cookie_Monster and Gormanino please go fuck yourselves. You are glued to our portal because you are dying to be one of us otherwise you would go play on tayyar zabreh.org and leave us in peace.

Hey Folks, all of you are just talking BS. In our country we dont have electricity, we dont have water, we do have an armed thug democracy, and all you have to talk about is arab spring, arab honor, zionist conspiracy etc. Dont you think we should instead focus on our own trouble? on our own well being instead of taking sides. rather take the side of Lebanon, transform it into a real democracy, with the rule of law and with the basic services guaranteed to all its citizens...
