Reports: No Hope for Govt. Formation if FPM Insists on Blocking One-Third
The past hours witnessed many political contacts but no positive progress was achieved concerning the government formation, sources said.
Informed sources told al-Joumhouria newspaper, in remarks published Thursday, that the discussions have entered a loop of naming candidates for portfolios while the blocking one-third hitch remains unresolved.
“It's like we're already in a deliberate time-wasting game,” the sources added.
The sources said "if things continue in this direction, there is absolutely no hope for the birth of a government, neither now nor at any other time.”
“The government will only be formed if President Michel Aoun and his team stop holding their ground on the blocking third share,” the sources concluded.

Lebanon would only be free when this old man Aoun who is 90 years old either dies, which is natural, or ends his tenure as a president. There is no way out. I am more than sure that 99% of the Christians look forward to the end of this cancerous period in the history of Lebanon. I admonish all the Christians to pray for the demise of this cancerous Aoun tenure.

Maybe we should stop being sectarian and talking about Christians or Sunni or whatever. The only problem of Lebanon is that we have artificially divided the lebanese by sects, region, clans, etc… up to a poly where it is no more possible to govern this country. We need to drop all sort of sectarianism and just look at the lebanese as lebanse and at their qualifications and morality. Until then aoun or not aoun, hizbollah or not hizbollah nothing will be resolved.
