Two Lebanese Detained on Charges of Smuggling Weapons to Syria

Lebanese authorities detained on Tuesday two Lebanese nationals on charges of smuggling weapons into Syria through the eastern border town of Arsal.

Military Examining Magistrate Imad al-Zain questioned Wael F. and Bahaa F., according to the National News Agency.

The examining magistrate issued arrest warrants against them on charges of smuggling weapons to Syria, the NNA reported.

Over the weekend, the army searched northern villages bordering Syria following information it received about the presence of armed groups that allegedly belong to the Free Syrian Army.

According to An Nahar published on Monday the army detained a number of suspects and is conducting investigations with them.

However, the March 14-led opposition slammed the army’s operations in Wadi Khaled, accusing it of “implementing Syrian orders.”

A military source told the newspaper that the army already launched such operations in Brital and Beirut without announcing them.

The poorly-demarcated Syrian-Lebanese border has witnessed a number of violations since the revolt against Syrian President Bashar Assad began in mid-March.

If that is the case, then this whole government and the hizb of terror should all be locked up and tried based on the same charges! Hypocrites.....

M8 supporters are in denial about Hezbollah being aligned with Syria and Iran.... If you think that they act autonomously from syrian/iran then you are deeply mistaken.

Honestly, I hope all surrounding countries (excluding Israel) will HEAVILY smuggle weapons, Money and fighters to support the free Syrian people. Let the Baath Syrian regime burn in its own filth and corruption. M8 your time is coming soon enough ishallah (democratically of course).

the only Zionists I know of either live in Israel or live in Damascus. How else to explain how the Golan front has been the most quiet and peaceful for the last 40 odd years, yet they claim to be in a state of war and a state of resistance.
The only thing they are resisting is giving their people some dignity and resisting their own cities.
I wish JabalHabel can explain to me Rami Makhlouf's comment that if the Syrian regime falls, then, Israel's security will be in jeopady!
I dont have the quote verbatim, but it went something like the above.

Finally, since the Hizb of thieves claims to stand up for the oppressed and downtrodden, why is it not defending the syrian people who are being masacred on a daily basis for a year now!

And one last question. IF the 2006 war was indeed a divine victory, why is the turbinator still hiding in a RAT HOLE for the better part of 7 years!
Something stinks here!

It's like banging your head against a 2 feet thick wall... for them facts are lies and vise-versa... they believe whatever suits them whether CIA, Israeli Intelligence, or Saudi shit.... let mouwaten souri barks as much as he likes, Assad days are numbered so are his Glorious resistance...

LoL @mowaten and slash, it might be true Lebanese smuggle weapons to Syria, and possibly Hariri, but also Hezbollah smuggled weapons to Iraq, Egypt, etc... the worst thing is that you both are fighting for people or must i say mouvements or resistances, that are not here anymore to protect Lebanon but to destroy it. and a big LOL at the speech where it says Assad is the lion's den. yes of course, same people share same points of view, Arnab el joulan, wou sarsour el mjerir. Hezb in 2000 isnt the same as today. It weapons have become a burden and are giving the noble chiite sect a reason to think that they are on top of the law, illegal constructions, kidnapping, drugs, not paying electricity bills.

Yes you will tell me a lot of other regions in Lebanon are lawless, maybe, but the biggest proportion and SPECIALLY where no STATE security or army can enter, is DAHIEH.
As for Israel always barking about Syrian weapons transfer to Hezb, its always what you wanted Israel. Bachar and Hezb, which are the lesser evil , compared to Sunni Islamist extremists . So quit your bullshit all of you and take a look at the big picture. Lebanon is a toy , which can light up the whole middle east. it always has been and always will be.

the filthy zionist media terrorist slash (and some others) are hallucinating like always, on many subjects, but most hillarious is when they speak on syrian zionists meaning current regime in syria.
