Israel’s Counter Terrorism Bureau issued a warning to Israeli travelers on Friday ahead of the anniversaries of the assassination of Hizbullah officials Imad Mughniyeh and Abbas al-Moussawi.

The bureau cautioned the public of the increased threat of terror attacks against Israelis abroad, saying they should avoid traveling to Egypt, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Ivory Coast, Mauritania and Venezuela.

Israeli nationals were also being discouraged from traveling to areas where there is a high concentration of Israelis.

The Jewish state assassinated al-Moussawi, the secretary-general of Hizbullah, on Feb. 16, 1992.

Hizbullah’s military commander, Mughniyeh, was killed in a car bomb blast in Damascus on Feb. 12, 2008. Hizbullah accused Israel of assassinating him.
