Israeli Force Penetrates Lebanese Borders, Erects Barbed Wire

An Israeli task force composed of twenty soldiers supported by four military vehicles entered 75 meters into the disputed area near Adaysseh and erected barbed wires.

The UNIFIL and the Lebanese security services arrived at the scene, and the Lebanese army launched a probe into the incident.

In a statement, the Lebanese army said that “between 02:50 and 03:52 Thursday morning an Israeli army patrol erected barbed wires at a distance of 74 meters in the disputed point 36TP beside Adaysseh.”

“The army units deployed in the region and the issue was addressed with the UNIFIl,” the statement added.

Al-Manar reported that Lebanon will submit a complaint to the United Nation after this assault.

UNIFIL spokesman Neeraj Singh later said that "Israel informed us in advance about erecting the barbed wire across the border, but there is a distance between it and the blue line," NNA reported.

The operation was done “500 meters away from the confrontation which occurred between the Lebanese army and Israeli forces in al-Adayseh in 2010,” National News Agency reported.

We don't want Israel, Syria or ANYONE else entering our territories.

Default-user-icon kikj (Guest) 09 February 2012, 22:01

erection is the most important here, and penetration will follow! what a great explanation!

Default-user-icon Joe (Guest) 09 February 2012, 22:01

Actually it's Israeli territory. The fence is set back, so the IDF can cross over it for maintenance without entering Lebanese territory.

God Bless the SLA.

the filthy zionist media terrorists pretend to be patriotic lebanese, why when someone reminds them about lebanese territories under occupation, including 7 villages, they will say that it's not lebanese territory.

this is how we know who you are.

The filthy Zionist infested bee3at al hadinat and Iranian Islamic Revolution in Lebanon would like to use the Zionists incursion in the disputed area to start a war. They then can use the bodies of the dead babies they never intended to protect for photo ops while the filthy cowardly turbaned leaders of the Zionist infested bee3at al hadinat and Iranian Islamic Revolution in Lebanon are hiding in underground bunkers watching their favorite filthy self made men on men pornos.

Christians of Lebanon Unite!

Well well well ... Another Israeli provication onto Lebanon

I say expand the lebanese borders to the original Palestinian northern territories and make it lebanese and take it away from israel - so that Galilee is returned to Lebanon as it was 2000 years ago.

Long live a free lebanon without submitting itself to Israel or Iran or Saudi arabia!

Thumb Chupachups 10 February 2012, 05:12

I wish the Christians united

Missing lebanesso 10 February 2012, 06:47

Cedar, are you sick or something? Lebanon was a mountain, never has the galilee been part of it. There was no lebanese nationalism 2000 years ago. You should seek help. This kind of nationalism is completly unbeliavable and self destructive.

You cant unite christians by forcing half of the worlds christians to be lebanese.

We ourselves were syrian up until recently. Stop embaressing us with this nonsence.

Thumb Chupachups 10 February 2012, 09:56

Then why call yourself " Lebanesso" ... Go be Syrian elsewhere

Missing lebanesso 10 February 2012, 17:10

New guy, why be syrian somewhere else when im already in lebanon which is native syria? Im lebanese yet syrian in the same way an 7alabi is 7alabi and syrian or a damascene is .Self hate only makes you look insecure.

Thumb cedar 10 February 2012, 12:04

lebanesso, firstly - In my opinion Lebanon is a Christian country.
The majority of its citizens and decendants are Christian (whether they live inside lebanon or outside this is the reality)
The Virgin Mary and her family come from Lebanon (which is the reason i take it back 2000 years ago)
You can take it back even more with phonecians and later generations working and living in the galalee area.

Lebanesso you sound like your part of the SSNP - did you have a part in killing Bashir Gemayel ???

Missing lebanesso 10 February 2012, 17:01

Cedar. Whatever your opinon, most lebanese in lebanon are muslim today. Secondly, the virgin mary came from an israelite family. This is in the bible. How dare you lie about her? She was not from lebanon, lebanon was a mountain 2000 years ago. virgin mary was from nazareth which never was part of lebanon. Mount lebanon did not have any borders or ethnic lebanese. People of diffirent parts of the world lived here. None were called lebanese. Do you see what exaggerated nationalism makes you do? It makes you lie about the holy virgin. Shame on you. The phoenicians lived in the coast of syria, palestine, lebanon, tunisia, egypt and even ethiopia. So what? They are dead now, they no longer exist. Move on.

Your living in history, both fake and real, meanwhile christians loose more and more power.
Stop being delusional.

Missing lebanesso 10 February 2012, 17:04

And no, im not ssnp, not even close and i dont need to be as the history of lebanon speaks for itself, 100 years ago we were still calling ourself syrian. Dont kid yourself with a fancy fake history. Today new borders made us call ourselfs lebanese but we are all descendand from syrians who always was one territory, our only seperation was either sect or which city/village we were from. Nobody had any lebanese nationalism back then. Ask your grandparents about their parents. I dont need to move to syria when lebanon already is in syia.

Khalas ba2a you already know this so why even continue resisting a fact everyone knows.

We are all from adam and eve in the end.

As much as I dislike Israeli politics and many things that IDF has done over the years, but read what UN says: The border fence is located about 75 meters into Israelian land if we take the blue line into consideration, a blue line that both nations agreed upon at the time (1978). So while this operation might create negative PR for Israel and a propagande opportunity for Hezbollah, its just a technical detail. The Israelis have a defensive and security motive behind this, and they informed UN (and by that indirectly Leb Army) in advance. Difficult to boil more soup on this bone.

Thumb james 10 February 2012, 11:28

We desperately need to officially demarcate our borders with ISRAEL AND SYRIA, no foreign army should be allowed to step a foot on our beloved land of Lebanon. I hope both M8 and M14 supporters agree

Default-user-icon danny (Guest) 10 February 2012, 16:17

Its in Israeli territory, as the fence is not along the international border...ie..no man's land. Therefore, no violation here. Find something else to complain about.

The Israelis and Lebanese are both sophisticated, wordly, trading people. Why not make peace and get along. Think of what an economic powerhouse the Levant coast would be if ploughed all your money into trade, not war.
