Gunmen 'Storm' Home of Bahrain Envoy in Syria

Gunmen "stormed" the home of Bahrain's charge d'affaires in Damascus and stole property, prompting the kingdom to urge Syria to protect its envoys, Bahrain state news agency BNA reported Tuesday.

The unknown gunmen entered the residence of Salah Abdulrahman al-Ahmad at dawn on Monday "and stole some of his personal possessions," BNA quoted the Gulf kingdom's foreign ministry as saying in a statement.

Ahmad "is in an excellent health condition and is perfectly carrying out his diplomatic work at the Bahraini embassy in Damascus," it added.

Bahrain's foreign ministry responded by "summoning Ms. Faiza Iskandar, Syria's charge d'affaires in the kingdom and informed her... that Syrian authorities must take quick measures to protect and secure the embassy, as well as Bahraini diplomats in Damascus and their residences," BNA said.

Last week the six Gulf states, of which Bahrain is a member, decided to expel Syrian ambassadors and withdraw their own over the "mass slaughter" of civilians in Syria where rights activists say more than 6,000 people have been killed since last March in a regime crackdown on dissent.

Funny how the anti regime evens in Syria all give the terrorist regime new propaganda possibilities to explore. I mean after their multiple failed evidence with the debacles of the Daraa "forest clearing terrorists gunmen" that even the Tishreen editor could not believe (she was fired for her troubles), Wahab's fake documents linking Jarrah to Syria arms, Moualem's preposterous videos etc., the regime has to raise the bar so that "thank you Syria for bombing out cities and towns to hell" idiots like mowaten, habal and co. have something to talk about. What' more interesting is that the regime has already used all those same propaganda tools in Lebanon to support our need to their army's presence and occupation.
