Iran is to supply Lebanon, Syria and Iraq with electricity after an economic memorandum of understanding was initialed to this effect between the four countries in Tehran on Saturday, Iran’s official news agency IRNA reported on Sunday.

Senior Iranian energy ministry official Muhammad Bahzad, Iraqi Electricity official Adel Mahdi, Syria’s deputy energy minister Hisham Mushaffaj and Lebanese electricity official Najib Saleh put their initials on the MOU.

Iranian official Bahzad said Iraq would get 1,000 megawatts while Lebanon and Syria would both share between 200-300 megawatts.

The MOU will likely be put into effect within the next two months pending ratification by the four countries, Bahzad added.

You idiots. Lebanese fighting against Lebanese. While the Jews and Americans rape and split Lebanon. Wake up you Neanderthals. You Lebanese think u r the shit with you way of life, yet u fight each other like a bunch of girls. Neither march 8 or 14 will get Electricity when a US or Israeli conventional nuclear war head puts Lebanon in the Dark Ages. So go ahead and keep fighting like girls, instead of standing together as Lebanese and as men, against a deadly and dangerous American and Zionist expansion into Arab land and resources.

We don't want any filthy Iranian electricity. If the Hezz metweili would pay for their share there would be no electricity problem.

Isn't it enough they put arms all over Lebanon. Now they want to further their Mediterranean dreams. NO WAY!! NO TO IRAN.

Thumb jabalamel 20 February 2012, 14:39

iran never meant to sell it's electricity to zionist entity, so gabby no worry you won't get it.

Thumb jcamerican 20 February 2012, 18:47

And don't forget, no water problems too. My friends in Jounieh flush after six uses, or they have to keep ordering the citerne for water. Hizballah has something to do with that. Your internet really sucks, let's belame it on hizballah. Before it use to be get the syrians out, and lebanese know how to deal with each other. All what I hear nothing but excuses from my lebanese friends, this is why your country like that. Always blame someone else.

@smallbrain: This news is useless to us (Paying with dignity people) regardless of the source, the big beneficiary is Iran because they are the sellers. Your people robs the government (Hit Gov employees trying to do their job to collect the electric bills)and destroy our infrastructure (i.e. 2006), so getting nuclear power from Iran will eventually drive three entire countries into darkness when Israel or US hit the nuclear plants in Iran.

Do you think we are going to believe the falling regimes promises, they want to sell us power while we are the richest in the region with natural energy, this is the illusion of falling regimes with their friends the Zionist with their nuclear power games destroying the future of the region.

Default-user-icon Vera (Guest) 19 February 2012, 21:14

Actually, do Iranians have power (enough)? One would say definitely no. They hardly have gas (they sell it abroad) to drive. What kind of people are those?

Default-user-icon Zin112 (Guest) 19 February 2012, 21:44

both of you are ridiculously ignorant! Same goes for 95% of Lebanese. Cannot wait till the day you all realize that we are the masses and are controlled by 40 yrs experienced old warlords and politicians.
Fight both of you about the electricity, instead of blaming our useless governments of the past 22 yrs. We are the only arab country without electricity!!! Shame on us Lebanese for staying this ignorant ....shame on you

Very well said. I would increase the number to 98%. I was in Lebanon few years back, the nature of Lebanon is beautiful. The people are very friendly and super nice. When it comes to their own politics, they are very ignorant. The proof, history keeps repeating itself, and their leaders never change, yet they expect the country to get better. They are the perfect definition of Einstein insanity.

What a shame, this Vichy government formed by a criminal regime and criminal organization and stuffed with corrupt ministers, those with Kadafi-like ego, or those working for foreign interests, now has decided to openly use taxes paid by hard-working Lebanese to subsidize the criminal regime in Iran and fund the Basij that are oppressing the Iranian population. Absolutely disgusting! No justice until all these ministers, including Don Quixote and his Don Corleone father-in-law are brought to trial.

Default-user-icon Lebanese Nationalist (Guest) 03 July 2012, 23:08

Actually we do need to complain in order to remove all that garbage in the government.
You just need to organize enough people from all over Lebanon and start protesting in front of the Parliament and request all the trash and the thieves to resign, then you will have a clean government from which you will prosper.

Stop talking “christians/muslims”, we are all Lebanese citizens, so why are you even discussing this point?
Every Lebanese citizen wants Electricity, Clean Water, and a fast Internet that doesn’t cost you an arm.

Default-user-icon Lebanese Nationalist (Guest) 03 July 2012, 23:09

Here is the issue concerning the Electricity:
1) A parallel system in which you have the Electricity from the government and the Electricity from the generators(Ishtirak).
The Ishtirak thieves/mafia put a lot of constant pressure on the Lebanese government to keep cutting the electricity from the Government so that people always feel handicapped and always feel that they need to subscribe to the Ishtirak in order to maintain a decent lifestyle.

So don’t forget, Electricity from the Government and Electricity from the Generators(Ishtirak) go hand-in-hand in order for them to benefit “mutually” from this theft.
