Suleiman Heads to Qatar to Participate in Telecom. Conference

President Michel Suleiman is expected to travel to Qatar on Sunday to attend the International Conference on Telecommunications.

Official sources told the daily An Nahar in remarks published on Sunday that the president may hold talks with Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani during his visit.

The talks will most likely focus on the developments in Lebanon and Syria.

The International Conference on Telecommunications will be held on March 6 and 7.

Suleiman had recently returned to Lebanon from an official trip to Romania and the Czech Republic where he met with a number of officials.
