The Progressive Socialist Party announced that the 35th assassination anniversary of its founder Kamal Jumblat will not be held during a popular rally.

PSP’s media office said in a statement that the anniversary will be marked by placing a wreath at Jumblat’s grave in Mukhtara on Friday.

“There won’t be any speeches or popular and political rallies,” it said.

Jumblat, who officially founded the PSP in 1949, was assassinated on March 16, 1977.

But al-Liwaa daily said Wednesday that a rally will be held in Baakline and will include speeches by MPs Walid Jumblat and Marwan Hamadeh.

Walid Jumblat dissolved the Democratic Gathering in January this year after four lawmakers - Hamadeh, Henry Helou, Antoine Saad and Fouad al-Saad - decided not to back his candidate for the post of prime minister.

He then established the National Struggle Front, the name of his father’s bloc which was set up in 1960 to bring together a large number of nationalist deputies.

According to al-Liwaa, Jumblat will make a fiery speech against the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad that is cracking down on protestors.

Fiery speech? About what now? Or, about what not now? If it is going to be as fiery as or perhaps more fiery than his previous 2614 contradictory speeches, then it will definitely be the contradictory speech number 2615, and counting. WARNING: Don't forget to stock up on anti-dizziness medication. This case also requires maximum doses of anti-disgust medication. IMPORTANT: Carry with you heavy duty barf bags.

Jumblat senior and junior represent the feodalo-fascism and are war criminal from father to son.

the National Struggle Front..... I remember this was the front that brought all anti-Lebanese elements together to fight the army and dismember the Lebanese State. Liberating Palestine was more important than preserving Lebanon to them.
