Four Students Killed in Syria's Aleppoإقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربية
Four students were killed overnight and 28 wounded as Syrian government troops and pro-regime gunmen raided the university campus in the northern city of Aleppo, a monitoring group said Thursday.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said three of the wounded students were in critical condition and some 200 detained in the raid just after midnight.
Activists said the assault was in response to daily anti-regime demonstrations at the university.
In Damascus province, security forces early Thursday also carried out raids in the town of Douma and farmlands outside Harasta.
According to the Britain-based Observatory, more than 11,000 people have been killed across Syria since a revolt broke out in March 2011 against the regime of President Bashar Assad.
