Miqati Bars Pilgrims from Traveling by Land to Holy Sites Outside of Lebanon

Prime Minister Najib Miqati issued a decree on Monday temporarily forbidding pilgrims from traveling by land to holy sites outside of Lebanon.
The decision was made at the behest of the Higher Islamic Shiite Council and the head of the Hajj and Omra affairs authority.
Travel agencies and the Hajj and Omra affairs authority will now have to take the suitable measures to accommodate the decree, added Miqati’s office in a statement on Monday.
The decision was taken in light of the kidnapping of 11 Lebanese pilgrims on Tuesday as they were returning to Lebanon from a pilgrimage to Iran.
The pilgrims were abducted from their bus in the Syrian town of Aleppo.
In light of the development, Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah had advised in a speech on Friday pilgrims against heading to their pilgrimage destination by land.

and it is not because we say things as they are that we are not giving the sheikh justice , he tought us to say the truth and it will be said even if we will lose our heads... Hezb must find a way to afford those tickets because hajj and 3omra already coast too much and now they have to take the plane !

funny that you talk about our leaders without fail. Sayedna does not need you or the likes of you! For his value is for us to judge and you to witness. We can handle our own affairs, in time you will see how. Isreal held our boys and in the end we got them back..There are manny so called Free syrian army in lebanon, Salafast too. Im proud that Iran stands with us and against the Wahabi, salafast murderers. The Qatari, Saudi, Isreali project is dead...and not one time did i trash gemayel..:)
