Roads Blocked as Power Plants Disconnection Plunges Lebanon into Darkness

Most of Lebanon plunged into darkness on Monday after the Zahrani, Deir Amar and Zouk power plants disconnected from the distribution network, causing power outages across the country.
LBC television said “power generation units have disconnected from the distribution network for unidentified reasons and efforts are underway to reconnect them.”
Residents across Lebanon have been recently blocking roads to protest lengthy power cuts.
Protesters blocked on Monday the Tripoli-Beirut and Beirut-South highways to protest the blackouts.
Residents also blocked a road connecting Tripoli to Zgharta and roads in Barja, Koura, Jiyyeh, Khaldeh and the Beirut neighborhood of Msaytbeh.

So based on your very logical and objective way of thinking, if you have a guy who keeps creating a giant pile of shit for 20 years, then you sack him and replace him by someone else for few months, he becomes the one who's responsible for causing the giant pile of shit that the
person before him has been building for the past 20 years?
This is the consequences of all of the previous governments, smarties. Try to be a it objective, it's not that difficult. Self criticism never hurts, you wont die if you say that the people you support messed up too (and I stress on "TOO", I'm not saying that 8th don't mess up). But that's definitely not 8th responsibility alone, anyone who says that is simply a blind hypocrite.

this is the consequence of having syria as an ally , and having your alligenace to syria and not to lebanon , we know all who stole the ministry of power back since ( all rpo-syrians ministers ) and now the cabinet is a pro syrian one ! maybe you forgot this one. You wnat to point fingers to people , do it but at least be logical , the regime that M8 is protecting is still ruling us whether you accept it or not and it is not because the party is called change and reform means that they are reforming and by allying to the same regime that stole your country you are not going to make one achievment !

it s the fault of the incompetent people who governs us be it M14 or M8... but the situation has degraded since M8 took power by force... that is OBJECTIVE....

Just like what you said peace... they have been talking about 24 hour electricity for years which was my childhood dream... now they don't even take care of their own power plants. 4 million people... without electricity?

They asked once Erdogan how he did to raise the turkish economy from below the 0 and the answer was simple : He is not steeling, and he stopped every one doing it ! so a country 1425 times bigger than Lebanon in a few years went from negative to a good economic stability with NO power cuts, and in Lebanon an achivement is 4hrs /day, and you will have people saying and the worst is that they really beleive what they say : "Thank you government for the many achivements you did " ! Masskhara !

All the Lebanese will soon realize that Lebanon is a Failure, except a few groups playing war games. These have secured weapons ,money, and they have no idea what a Nation means. SAD
